"BOY GET UP AND GET BREAKFAST READY!" "Yes Uncle Vernon" said the groggy voice of one Harry Potter. Uncle Vernon opened up the bedroom door. "After that I have a list of chores for you to do outside." Uncle Vernon almost seemed cheerful when he said that. "Yes Uncle Vernon" said harry as he put his glasses on. "Hurry up" Uncle Vernon growled then stormed down the stairs.
Harry Potter was not having a good year. For that matter he was not having a good life either. Stuck with his abusive and hateful family again for the summer was just not his cup of tea. They always treated him like shit. Although Harry would be willing to bet all of the gold in his vault that most, if not all, children with normal relatives were treated better than this.
Of course Harry Potter had a soft spot in his heart for adults and red heads. The Weasley family contained some of his most favorite people in the world. The youngest son, Ronald Weasley, has been his best friend since they were 11 years old. They met on the Hogwarts Express the first year he went to the magical school. Ron's youngest sister, Ginny Weasley, was real nice too. He had saved her from the evil dark wizard Lord Voldemort and a giant basilisk at the end of second year, which was Ginny's first year. Their twin brothers , Fred and George Weasley, were always pulling pranks, using twin speak, and being royal pains in the ass. Harry almost chuckled at the thought of them. Harry then thought of his other friend Hermione Granger. Brown bushy haired people were ok too. He knows that she was the only one to keep him and Ron straight. School had just finished but Harry was already missing his friends. He missed his family.
He wished that his "family" was his only problem, but unfortunately there was a lot more he had been dealing with than just them. He was almost glad Uncle Vernon had woken him up so early. Harry was not having a very pleasant dream and had welcomed the interruption, even if it was quite loud. Harry had just got back from Hogwarts agree the bed of his 4th year. During the year he was forced to compete in the Tri-Wizard Tournament as the 4th champion. This was unusual because normally there were only 3 champions... 1 from each school. Nothing too unusual for Harry though. No matter how hard he tried to stay away from trouble or always seemed to find him. There were 3 dangerous tasks they had to complete. At the end of the last task Harry had witnessed the death of Cedric Diggory, a friendly and talented Hufflepuff. He was also forced to give some of his blood in a graveyard ritual to return Voldemort to a new body. After that Voldemort forced Harry to duel him before Harry managed to narrowly escape back to Hogwarts using the same portkey that brought him to the graveyard, making harry the winner of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
Harry had been dreaming of Cedric dying, seeing the green killing curse stoking him down. It made no sense to Harry. Voldemort said "kill the spare" and Wormtail killed Cedric just like that. He was not needed for their purposes so his life was taken like it meant nothing. It was difficult for Harry to keep from being sick every time the memory played in his mind.
Harry had also dreamt about facing Voldemort and what had also happened during the duel. He kept wondering why Voldemort wouldn't leave him alone, why he had killed his parents, and why he had tried to kill Harry. What was so important about him that Voldemort wanted to kill him that badly? What did he even do to Voldemort to deserve this? Since Voldemort tried to kill him when he was only 1 year old then what could he had possibly done to the dark wizard before that time? Drool on him?
He was sure Dumbledore knew the answer but for some odd reason he refused to not provide said information. Dumbledore probably thought that he was too young to handle the information. That just meant that the information was very unpleasant. He still wished that Dumbledore would just tell him everything. Harry agrees that he is still very young but he also agrees that Dumbledore is ancient. Harry like and respects the Headmaster but really.... how old is the Headmaster? In Harry's eyes he is old enough to hear this information. He hated that he was kept in the dark whole he had to continuously face Moldyshorts.
