Not much is known about them except the fact that they eventually evolved into the modern werewolf. Because of this, not as many are alive in the current day. The species is very similar to a normal werewolf (shapeshifting, enhanced senses, etc.), but are usually capable of other abilities which may have been more useful in ancient times.
