Katie woke up calmly as she usually did. Only this time she couldn't feel her hands this time. Katie was diagnosed with a very rare nerve disease that over time would destroy her nerves and she wouldn't be able to move aside from her eyes and mouth. She wouldn't able to taste her feel but obviously due to her using those muscles her entire life and moving them often she would be able to use them just not feel them moving. She had about a week and he family fought valiantly for some kind of cure to this situation of hers but with her father being a raging alcholic and her mother not seeming to care with her severe depression. Nothing seemed to go right in her life with her aunt really being the only one that ever seemed to care. Eventually she would be in the hospital unable to move and unable to care about her own life She couldn't even do anything about it which seemed like the worst torture of all. While on life support to keep her lungs functioning she requested that life support be removed so she may die peacefully...
No one would do this as she needed consent from her aunt. She was at work at the time and could not answer. A man in a black suit approached her. "What if I told you that everything would go back to normal. All you had to do was sign here and you will be able to walk again. You will be able to do everything and anything you want. You will be transferred after a month. Till then go to school and live your life out. We are gonna give you a chair to support yourself and make everything better temporarily. They did just that. They gave her a chair that would be able to move her on a mere thought of moving in any direction. She didn't like what they did but this was all she had left. She would go to school and return back to a special facility where they would run tests regularly. The next few days went as follows.
They all at first were tame but as the last week rolled around she began to hear nasty things because she got special treatment and got no homework because of her condition. They began to call her names and say that no one would ever love her. No one would ever want to deal with her. She cried silently up until the month was over. Everyday she would cry. Then she got to the testing facility and in doing so they grabbed her and put her down onto a cold metal table which she couldn't feel.
They strapped her down as she responded with a very dark joke. "Why are you strapping me down when I can't move?" She chuckled and hoped she would die. That's all she wanted. Nobody wanted her. Not even herself. The next was the fun part as she remembered. They stuck a needle into her arm and a black and green liquid slithered up into her blood streamed and made it's way to her brain learning everything it possibly could about her. It bonded to each and everyone one of her pain receptors and nerves and repaired them whilst doing so. This ooze that was put inside of her slithered into her eyes as they turned black with green splotches for a brief moment. She laughed and moved her body for the first time in such a long time. She ripped off the restraints and she stood up. "The pain is gone, finally it's all over. There is no more pain. None in the slightest" The black and green ooze seeped from her skin as it coated her body and she hissed with pleasure as she broke down the lab door. She gave all the people in the lab a menacing look before saying loudly.
"Thanks for the upgrade...Now die!!"
