My mom always told me that I would be a successful painter one day, but she would not have expected this day to come so soon. I don't think anyone expected this day to come so soon. My mom is gone long since then. She killed herself with sleeping pills, but I don't blame her entirely for that, she had gone through a lot. Her parents died when she was in college and was left with only her brother as a family who was killed in a house robbery and my father died in a car accident when I was nine. But that was not all doctors had diagnosed me with a severe illness and told her that I'd die soon. When she heard that news she was too heartbroken and couldn't take it anymore so that night she committed suicide, but as it turned out I was cured.
After her death I moved in with my father's sister, my aunt and her family. She is the most loving person I've ever met and she really loved me. Her family consisted my aunt, her husband, my cousin Kelly and a boy named Barry who was abandoned by his parents so my aunt raised him. When I first moved in my aunt's house Kelly was such a mess, she didn't have any friends except for barry and me but together we made her who she is today. Barry is my best friend and he has been there for me in all of my thick and thins. I know that all of them will be really happy for me because my hardwork really paid off. I was hired by a well-known art company because they really liked my paintings and my style. But I still had to figure out how to tell them that I have to move to France. It's a really big opportunity for me and I'm willing to risk anything in order to be a successful artist, but I've lived here my whole life and the thought of moving somewhere really far from home and where I don't really know anyone is very scary.
