Briar :

I walk into school, texting Julian and I almost wipe out this poor guy standing in the shadows. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" I gasp, bending down to help him pick up his books. We reach for one book at the same time and our hands brush against each other. I swear, there was a crackle of electricity. We both look at each other wide eyed, blush and I start to stammer. Which is what I do when I get nervous. But why am I nervous? I've never been nervous around boys before. Not even Elliot. The boy holds my gaze for a second longer and a shiver goes down my spine. I've never felt this way around a boy before. What does this mean? Suddenly, Julian appears and frowns at the boy, as I stand up and brush myself off. "OK?" he asks, eyeing the boy suspiciously.
"Yeah," I nod. "Sorry I knocked you over" I say to the boy. He just looks at me, than Elliott and back to me. And then he walks off.
"Come on, babe," Elliot says, kissing my forehead. But all I can think of is, I don't even know his name........

Myles :

I look for the room it says to go to on my map, and walk in. The first person I see is a girl. THE girl. The one who made my heart do front flips and made my mind go mushy. She smiles, recognising me but is pulled away by her boyfriend. He glares at me. I look back at him holding his glare. He kisses the girl and smirks at me. They kiss again. I look away. I can't bare to look. It hurts too much and I don't know why. Why does it hurt? She's not my girlfriend, so why does it feel so painful when he kisses her? It's confusing. It helps, when she pulls away, and smiles at me symphettically. The teacher walks in. "You must be Myles," she says. I nod. "OK, you'll be sitting next to..... Briar. She'll be your buddy. She'll show you what to do and where to go." She points to the seat beside the girl. Briar.
