"Japanese"

"Amestrian or Xingese."

"English."

'Written things' (Bolded or italicized depending on what language they are in.)

'Thoughts.'

I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Magical Girl Site, or Harry Potter.

Tsuyuno Yatsumara was confused.

She had never told this to anyone(who would she tell, after all?) but even since she was 11, she had received odd letters. They were delivered by owls, which was odd enough, as owls were not native to Japan. However, the really odd thing was the message it relayed.

When she was twelve, Tsuyuno had been so fed up with the life in general that she decided to read one of these letters. Just to see what it said.

She first read the address:

'To Tsuyuno Yatsumura, Crawling Street, Japan'

Tsuyuno had immediately stopped time. How did they know where she was? She had just stepped on Crawling Street! This must be... must be...

"Another Mahou Shoujo," she had hissed, glancing around warily.

But that still didn't explain why the letter was written in english! Tsuyuno knew enough english to read the address, but not much. Therefore, this must have been sent by mistake.

Tsuyuno got rid of that letter.

Now Tsuyuno was thirteen and had another letter. Along with the letter was a tiny, agitated man who had brown hair and a large mustache. He had on large glasses and a wizard hat. In addition to that, he had on green robes that trailed on the floor.

"I assume you have recieved your Hogwarts letter?" Tsuyuno, despite her confusion, kept a blank mask on.

"What is Hogwarts?" The tiny man repeated his question, frowning. 'He must not know Japanese,' Tsuyuno thought.

"What is Hogwarts?" Tsuyuno asked, inwardly wincing at her harsh accent. She hoped that the man didn't say anything quickly or complicated.

"Why, Hogwarts is only the best school for young wizards and witches such as yourself! Ah, but being a muggle-born, you must not know of the existance of magic. You see, some children are born with the ability to do magic, such as yourself. Usually students start during their first year, when they are 11, but you can transfer in now. After all, you look more like you are 11 than 13m as I believe you are. Where is that note? Ah yes, Tsuyuno Yatsumura, aged 13."

Almost all of that had gone over Tsuyuno's head, except one word.

"Witches?" she asked, glancing at the man. Was he a witch?

"As I just said, witches are magic users. Now listen! We are going to get you supplies for the year..."

The man prattled on about something or other. All Tsuyuno had caught were the first few words.

'Magic users... What about Mahou Shoujo? Do they not know of our existance?'

While Tsuyuno was thinking, the man had pushed the letter into her hands. Tsuyuno heasitantly opened it.

'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry,' Tsuyuno read. 'Headmaster Albus Dumbledore.' Underneath that name were many things written in a tiny font that Tsuyuno didn't bother reading. 'Dear Ms. Yatsumura, we are pleased to...' Tsuyuno skipped to the next page. She wasn't bothering with reading this unimportant page.

Tsuyuno had skipped over the book list- as it was, most of the information had gone over her head. If there really was a magical school, couldn't they be bothered to translate the letter into japanese?

"...So can your parents take you to Diagon Alley?" Oh, the tiny man was talking again.

Tsuyuno's head snapped up.

"Diagon Alley?"

Half an hour later, the tiny man was gone, and Tsuyuno was left clutching the two sheets of paper in her left hand and the instructions on how to get to Diagon Alley in her right hand.

'What,' Tsuyuno thought. 'was that?'
