Louis walked the halls of the school. He was by himself as he always tried to keep away from people. It wasn't that he was the most liked person, it was just that not a lot of people liked him because of how they saw him.

He was a small boy, no taller than 5foot 4inches, really skinny with a feeding tube. He had never tasted any food in his life and he was 16.

Niall saw Louis walking along, Louis being his best friend "Louis, wait up!" he called. He watched as the small boy stopped "yes?" he asked, turning around to face him. He got a chuckle from the 17 year old "don't get sassy with me, I just wanted to know how your weekend was" he said with a smile.

Louis frowned a little "oh, r-right, it was good thanks, n-nothing out of the ordinary" he stuttered, not being able to speak as well as everyone else "how was yours?" he asked.

"it was amazing! Liam took me to a restaurant for our date" Niall replied. He was dating Liam, who was a year older than him. He loved Liam a lot, and they would've been dating 2 years on New years day.

Louis bit his lip, being a little jealous that Niall was with someone who could take him all those places, when he couldn't find someone himself "that sounds nice" he said with a small smile.

Niall nodded, putting a hand on his shoulder "we need to find you someone" he said with a small chuckle.

He got a quick shake of the head from the small boy "no, we don't" he said, getting a look from Niall "I mean, who would want to get with me anyway" he said, putting himself down, just like everyone else did.

Niall was just about to say something when Liam and his group of friends came over. Harry was one of his friends and he hated Louis, the main reason being was because he was different. Harry scoffed as soon as he saw that Louis was there.

"hey babe" Liam said, pulling Niall into a hug. Niall smiled, hugging him back.

Louis kept his head down, knowing Harry hated him, wishing he didn't as he liked the older boy, more than he should.

"love?" Niall asked, getting a small hum from Liam "can you think of anyone who would be able to go on a date with Louis?" he asked. Liam was quiet for a bit, before looking to Harry "I'm sure Harry here would" he joked, knowing how much he hated Louis, yet everyone did that wasn't Niall.

Harry looked up at the sound of his name "hmm?" he asked. "we were wondering if you'd want to go on a date with Louis here" he asked. Harry looked around "whose Louis?" he wondered, never hearing of his name, just knowing him as the 'weird kid'.

"I-i am" Louis said, keeping his head down. Harry looked at him in disgust, not wanting to take the weird kid out on a date, but he was sure he could take him out on just one "yeah, sure, Liam, give him my number, I have to go" he said before leaving, trying not to laugh that he was taking him out on a 'date'

Louis frowned "I-i have to go too" he said before hurrying off to his class, forgetting Niall was in it. Niall gave Liam a look, knowing he was doing this as a joke and he didn't want Louis hurt. He ran after the small boy "hey, don't forget, I'm in your lesson" he said, knowing things could be hard for him, being treated the way he was by everyone.

Their lesson went by pretty fast before Niall caught Louis before they left the room "you okay about this?" he asked, wanting to make sure he was okay about it all. Louis gave a small nod "yeah, I'm sure" he said quietly "you should go on the date with him, I'm sure he's nicer than what he comes across to be" he said with a sad smile "I'll think about it" Louis replied before leaving, only having a half day that day.

Niall watched as he left, hating how he had been through so much, only to be treated the way he was.

Liam looked to Harry "you hurt him, you know what Niall would be like" he told him before giving him Louis' number.

Harry rolled his eyes "yeah yeah, whatever... This will be the only date I'm taking him on though" he said before walking away from Liam, before texting Louis

Harry: 'hey, wanna go out for dinner tonight?'

Louis: 'I can't eat'

Harry: 'you could watch me' he sent before regretting it slightly 'how about I take you bowling instead?'

Louis frowned at the first one before smiling slightly at the second one 'yeah, sure'

Harry: 'okay, I'll pick you up at 6'

Louis texted him his address, hoping that he was going to be nicer to him, but he knew not to get his hopes up too much.
