Nine.

"What the hell is going on?" I try to ask, but Jungkook already has a smile on his face.
"I want you to see more.. to know that your world can be so much more. This is your home now, and you can work up to things like this."
He pulls out his wand and with a swish there's a beautiful blue twinkling light that shoots across the room.
"Woah.." I gasp, absolutely amazed by the sight.
Yoongi scoffs and rolls his eyes before green and purple light extends from his fingertips, twisting & swirling in front of him.
He wears a confident, yet sly grin.
I blink rapidly, "You didn't need your wand?"
"Show-off. Yoongi's special power is magic." Jungkook folds his arms.
I furrow my eyebrows, "Magic? As... a whole?"
"Yeah, the manipulation of magic. I can also feel other magic forces, which is why Jungkook here calls me to keep watch because I'm so much better than him." Yoongi jokes, and Jungkook playfully shoves him.
He grumbles before walking to do another spell.
I watch as his wand flicks in the air, sputtering glitter in the air.
He continues to work and I just watch him, his hands moving swiftly.
"Shocking." Yoongi whispers.
I laugh, "What?"
He turns to me and shakes his head.
"You are clueless, love."
I turn to him, "About what?"
He comes closer to my ear, careful not to let Jungkook hear.
"You do realize he is breaking 5 major school rules right now that would get him expelled... for you."
My eyes widen.
"W-What?"
He laughs, "Vanessa, did you really think students were allowed after curfew for this?"
I don't say anything, knowing he's right.
It made me worried for Jungkook.
Why would he risk getting in trouble?
With another flick and a burst of light, I watch as a dark horse races around the air above our heads.
It was beautiful.
"Showing off your patronus?" Yoongi grins, before stepping forward and waving his own wand.
"Expecto patronum." He speaks, and the same blue-white light bursts in the air.
Instead of a horse, a large bird swoops across and I duck so it doesn't hit me.
What the hell was that?
I knew I wanted to try to make an animal, so I pulled out my wand and did the same.
"Expecto patronum!" I yelled.
Nothing happened which immediately disappointed me.
"You're going to learn it in time. It's a very intense spell that requires a lot of focus, so don't be hard on yourself." Jungkook assures me with a gentle hand on my shoulder.
Yoongi slightly winces while gripping his forehead, "We've got trouble."
"How many?" Jungkook whispers.
Yoongi opens his eyes and shakes his head, "I don't know, at least 2."
Jungkook grabs my hand and leads me to a large cabinet in the corner of the room.
"Do we really have to do this?" Yoongi groans, walking beside us.
Jungkook points to the wall that begins to fade, "We don't really have a choice."
He proceeds to open the closet door and help us both inside.
It's a small space for 3 of us to be piled in together.
Yoongi shuts the doors and then grabs my hand, I let out a small gasp at the sudden contact.
I can almost hear his smile.
"Close your eyes." They whisper to me in unison, both of them holding one of my hands.
I close my eyes and hear loud shouts and grunts, followed by absolute silence.
"Let's go. They might send someone in here to check, we aren't safe yet." Jungkook says.
"No, wait-" I try to stop him but he opens the doors.
Panic goes through my body before I don't see the secret room anymore.
It's now a huge room filled with large piles of objects.
Furniture, jewelry, books, you name it.. just laying among big piles.
The ceilings were tall, and a faint grey color.
"How did that just happen?" I ask, clearly confused.
Yoongi chuckles, "Magic, of course. That's the vanishing cabinet, now come hide."
I follow behind them as they walk to a row of chairs. One is in a couch-style, big enough for all of us to sit behind and stay hidden.
We all sit together and it's not long before we laugh a bit.
"What is that place? Why are they so mad you were there?" I question.
Jungkook smiles, "It's the Room of Requirement. These both are the Rooms of Requirement, this is just the extra-hidden one. They don't like students going in because they can't supervise. It's technically forbidden."
"Why would you do that then?" I shake my head, feeling guilty now.
He spins his wand in his hand, "We can't practice magic on school grounds unless being used for self-defense.. but I actually can show you in secrecy."
"He was trying to impress you, obviously." Yoongi teases.
Jungkook shakes his head and throws a dust-covered pillow at him, earning a cough from Yoongi.
It's still quiet in this large room.
"I think we're safe." Yoongi says, standing up.
I carefully follow him out and Jungkook walks with me back to the closet.
This room is cold compared to the other one.
The other one has a fireplace and a life to it.
This feels like a place where everything comes to die.
They both help me inside the closet and shut the doors.
They both slide their soft hands into mine again.
I stop myself from gasping again, they are just two guys helping out a girl.
Suddenly the noise shifts from silence to a crackling fire again.
It's quiet.
It's too dark in the closet to see their expressions but no one moves.
After a minute or so of quiet, Jungkook carefully pushes on one of the doors.
Yoongi quickly pulls me against him as Jungkook steps out, so I'm with him on the closed side.
I don't say anything as I hear another male voice.
"I knew someone was here.. but.. Jungkook?" The voice says.
A hand rattles the cabinet. I lean back into Yoongi out of reflex, and he lightly rubs my shoulder. The sweet gesture shocks me.
The doors don't open, so Jungkook must have locked it.
I hear Jungkook sigh, "Can you calm down? I can't sleep and was looking for a book in there that Doyoung needed for his AP class. Just because they have you on hall duty doesn't mean you need to be a jerk about it. Where did the others go?"
"I said I'd stay and wait for someone to appear, and I found you. Just go back to your dorm soon, please." The mutters in annoyance before his footsteps go away.
The bricks are heard again and then more silence.
I step away from Yoongi, slightly nervous about being that close to him.
He was being kind today.. not a jerk bully. Maybe Yoongi was a soft boy underneath a hard exterior, like a good candy.
Maybe Jimin was the bad guy.
The door unlocks and opens, followed by Jungkook peeking his head in.
He offers his hand and helps us both out.
"Back to our dorms fast, and make up some clever excuse if someone sees you." Jungkook tells Yoongi.
He scoffs, "I'm the one in Slytherin, I'm worried about you Ravenclaws."
"We can handle ourselves." I shrug as Jungkook bumps his shoulder against mine.
"Next time we should take her to the Forbidden forest." Yoongi jokes, opening the door.
Jungkook rolls his eyes, "Not funny."

hi omg i'm SO SO sorry for not updating??? i took a break from writing because i've been trying to get my mental health to a better place...
i came on here to see 1k reads!? thank you so much lovelies, that's so awesome !!!
i adore these dudes and wanted to combine it with harry potter. i know a lot of things in here aren't going to completely fit the real harry potter but i'm just using a lot of the themes/ideas/tools from it!
i know this chapter only had jungkook and yoongi but just be patient, more characters will be introduced.
i can't really mention them all at once hahaha(:
