After a few hours of driving, I saw a sign that said 'Welcome to Jumpcity' and in the distance I could see a blue-glass tower, only It was on the shape of a 'T', the tower sat on a small island in the bay of the city. "What's that?" Lucas asked curiously. I looked at Batman hoping for an answer. Nothing. "I'm not sure." I turned back to Lucas a bit curious myself. "Does your brother have a.. special ability, like you do." Batman asked with no emotion. "N-No he doesn't." I replied. Once again, nothing but silence.
About ten minutes later, Batman pulled up at the same tower Lucas and I were looking at. I stepped out of the Batmobile, and lifted Lucas up, placing him on my hips. I followed Batman up to the front door as he knocked on it. A tall girl with long pink poofy hair, orange colour skin and glowing bright green eyes opened up the flash automatic sliding door. "Greetings Batman." She said in a polite matter. "Koriand'r, is NightWing available?" "Yes of course, would you like to speak with him?" Batman nodded, and with that, the girl slipped back around the corner.
A few seconds later, a man looked to be about twenty came leaned against the door way of the tower. "Batman." "NightWing, I found these two in Gotham, one of them has a special ability." NightWing nodded, knowing what Batman had meant. "Well, we'll see if we can fit you on the team." NightWing said as he smiled at me. "And you little guy, would you like to be on the team too?" He said as he kneeled down to Lucas. Lucas buried his face into my side, NightWing chuckled as he looked at Batman, they both nodded at each other as Batman turned around and headed back to the Batmobile. "Follow me." NightWing said as he made his way back inside.
As we entered the tower, a blast of refreshing cold air hit our faces. "Oh and by the way, It's Dick." Dick said as he looked back at me and smiled. I smiled back and nodded. "And your name is?..." He said quickly after. "Oh, Y/n, and this is Lucas." I replied. I suddenly felt a lot more comfortable and confident, like I was safe. Finally safe. "Nice name." He said as we entered an elevator. "So... What is exactly going on?" I asked curiously. "Well, from the looks of things you're going to be joining the Teen Titans. We're a superhero team, basically. There's six of us all up, there used to be seven, but turns out she was actually a spy helping to plan to destroying us, she died in the end." NightWing sighed as he said it. "Jesus..." I muttered. "Anyways you'll have her room, and Lucas here can have my old room since Kori' and I don't actually live in the tower." I nodded understandingly.
We walked out of the elevator to see a green boy run past and another boy with a lump on his back under his shirt chase after him. "Jaime, Gar!" Dick said as he pinched his nose and exhaled.
