In this dim lit room
I know you arrive soon
You, my lover, step past the curtain
My love for you was always certain
You start at the floor dancing low
Now my aching heart starts to grow
Licks of flame kiss your small feet
But here you dance for me so sweet
Tip toeing in circles on the floor
For now you know me no more
I'm simply a mere shadow in a seat
While I watch your tiny feet burn from heat
Sultry little fast paced toes
Remembering that only I used to know
Little reflections shimmering and shaking
But now for you only my heart is breaking
As I see you dance around in bliss
Giving every man a tiny kiss
Here in awe I wish for you
For I, myself, want to kiss you too
I sit alone in these shadows of shame
While you play your little game
Moving gracefully with sharpened daggers
You spin and step but never stagger
Lustful eyes that sparkle bright
Only I feel the pain hidden behind this night
Stabbing heartbreak in my eyes
While I watch from the wall like flies
As hot licks of flame burn your feet
I hurt from afar in my dark seat
Leave I must, for if I don't go
I won't be the only left to know
