You Shouldn't Love Me

Irresistible

As I drove home I couldn’t help but smirk at what I hoped Adam’s reaction would be and I knew that would be the reaction. I was pulled out of my daydream when I felt someone poke my cheek and I turned round to see Jamie laughing.

“What was that for?” I asked frowning at him in the mirror.

“You nearly crashed the car you were too busy smirking at something or other, what are you happy about? Your planning something aren’t you?” he questioned me and I attempted to look innocent.

“No not at all.” I replied nonchalantly. I looked in the rear-view mirror and saw them all staring at me with raised eyebrows before they all shook their heads as they gave up.

When I got home I saw that Adam was already there and had done his job and picked Dylan up from Lily’s. We all lounged on the sofas as Adam made some drinks for us as we had a lot to talk about.

“So who shall we start with the twins or the quadruplets?” Adam asked as he passed the drinks round before sitting down next to me putting an arm around my shoulders.  

“Well, I think I have a solution actually…” I told them and everyone looked my way and Adam squeezed my shoulder to persuade me to start. “What would you say if I said that we could all rent a house with enough room for all the kids including Dylan and then Jamie would be able to see them all at the same time?” I asked before looking at Adam whose arm dropped from my shoulder. “And plus Adam could live with us too.” I assured him giving him a wink and his arm once again rested on my shoulder and he smiled at me nodding his head.

“That’s actually a great idea!” Emma told me and I nodded in agreement as did April and Jamie.

“Great well that’s decided; I’ll ring the estate agents tomorrow and get this place on the market whilst we look for somewhere shall I?” Adam asked and I nodded beaming at him.

“Guys I’ve been looking for a job as well because I want to be able to give you both enough money that the babies have what they need.” Jamie told us proud of himself. “And I’ve managed to get one at IKEA so the money will start coming in now.” He finished and we all got up and gave him hugs to congratulate him.

“Congrats Jamie, I knew everything would all work out.” Adam congratulated him.

“Oh my god, look at the time, I promised lily I’d help with Dinner can you give me a lift Jamie?” April asked and Jamie nodded and they both left.

“I’m just going to grab a sandwich and then I’m going to head to bed so you probably want to feed Dylan now so I don’t disturb him.” Emma informed and we nodded heading into the kitchen once she’d made her sandwich and I grabbed Dylan’s dinner and went over to feed him but Adam snatched the food out of my hand and began to feed him himself. I then went and sat down on the sofa and checked my phone messages and was shocked to see I had one from my mum. I quickly deleted it as I didn’t care what she had to say. I then noticed Adam putting Dylan to bed so ran to his room so I could say goodnight to him. When I came out of his room I saw that Adam was making dinner.

“Babe why don’t you go and get changed you must feel so uncomfortable in those clothes, you have time for a shower if you want one. “ Adam called from the kitchen.

“Alright I won’t be long.” I called back before heading to the bathroom and quickly stripping my clothes of and jumping in the shower. Once I had finished my shower I ran into the bedroom to pick out some clothes but I noticed Adam had already picked something out so I decided I better put it on plus it was cute anyway. I put on the purple strapless dress and went to pick out some shoes. I decided on some black stilettos and I put them on before straightening my hair and putting some earrings in. Once I felt happy with my look I slowly walked down the hallway to the living room where Adam had set up a table for two with a candle in the middle.

“Adam did you do this?” I called to him walking into the kitchen to see him in a dark purple shirt, black dress pants and black dress shoes and he also wore his perfect smile that lit up the room.

“If you mean the table then yes, you look stunning babe I knew that dress would look that good. I’m so glad your finally 18, your presents on the counter over there by the way.” He informed me and I wandered over to where all the presents had been left.

“Which one is it?” I asked and he pointed to a box which had deep blue paper on it and so I smiled before picking it up and walking over to where he was. “Shall I open it now or after dinner?” I asked him as he stirred the sauce he was making.

“Now, I have another present for after dinner.” He told me smirking and so I opened the present up to find a jewellery case and when I opened it up I saw there was a necklace with a large star on it.

“I love it Adam, thank you.” I told him.

“Turn the star over.” He instructed and I did so and on the back he had put ‘your my shining star’.

“Oh Adam, that’s so nice I love it even more now. I love you.” I told him smiling at how much I loved telling him those three words.

“I love you too, happy birthday by the way, now get out my kitchen dinner’s ready.” He told me pecking me on the cheek and so I left the kitchen and went and sat down at the table when Emma came out.

“Ava, mum just text me.” She told me and I sighed.

“Delete it, she doesn’t care about us otherwise she would never have thrown us out would she.” I told her bluntly and she nodded before heading back into her room.

“Here you go beautiful.” Adam told me placing some pasta in front of me and I smiled before tucking in.

“It’s delicious, thank you.” I told him once I’d finished. He smiled before getting another present out of the kitchen.

“Present number two.” He told me handing me the box wrapped in the same paper as before and I smiled before delicately opening it.

“What the hell Adam, why would you spend this much money on me?” I told him as the wrapping fell to the floor revealing a beautiful star bracelet and earrings.

“Because your my girlfriend and I love you and I want to treat you on your birthday.” He told me and I smiled. He then grabbed hold of my hand and I gave him a knowing look before standing up and pulling him with me and I dragged him to our bedroom.

“Right, this is my present to you babe.” I told him before pushing him on to the bed on his back and he smiled up at me as I lowered myself on top of him crashing my lips onto his. He then started unzipping my dress as I unbuttoned his shirt one at time and as I stepped out of the dress he took his arms out of the shirt. He then pulled me onto the bed rolled me over onto my back so he was on top and started leaving kisses all over my neck as I unbuckled his belt and unzipped his trousers to reveal his pants and smiled at him as he kissed me passionately and I felt him unclip my bra and I smiled through the kiss.

Twenty minutes later I woke up to find myself being stared at by Adam with raised eyebrows.

“So Ava, much experience then?” he asked laughing.

“What can I say, I’m just that irresistible babe.”
