Leaving

It was around ten in the morning and I had to pay bills and get food for the week. Every week it's the same always running around with a one year old is crazy. Worrying if the bills will get paid or if we will have enough food. It doesn't help that Ryan is always taking money and gambling or just staying gone whenever he is off. It always makes me wonder if he is seeing someone else. It hurts thinking that your husband doesn't love you anymore. It hurts worse when your daughter is growing up thinking that her daddy doesn't care about her. I finally got Jasmine ready to go and loaded into the car.

After I paid all the bills I went to Walmart to get the things we needed. We were only in there for about twenty minutes when Jasmine started crying and screaming.

"It's okay baby girl. There is no need to cry." I said picking her up, trying to calm her down and push the cart is harder than you think. She was still crying when I ran into a guy rounding the corner and pushing the cart back into me causing me to stumble and fall backwards. All that did was make her cry even more.

"Are you okay, baby girl?" I asked looking her over to make sure she was okay.

"I am so sorry. I didn't see you there. Is she okay?" The guy asked helping me up.

"It's not your fault, it was mine. It's hard to push a cart while calming a baby down." I said still trying to calm her down, but nothing was working.

"No, I should have been watching where I was going. I'm Joe by the way." the stranger said holding his hand out to me.

"I'm Kaycee and this is Jasmine." I said taking his hand in mine.

"Hi Jasmine, what's wrong?" Joe asked making Jasmine stop crying. As soon as I put her back in the cart she started crying again.

"Do you need help?" He asked looking at me.

"I couldn't ask that of you."

"Don't be silly, I don't mind helping you."

"It would be nice to have some help for once." I said looking into his eyes. "Thank you."

"It's no trouble at all." He said smiling at me. There was something about him that I have seen before, and his voice I know I have heard it somewhere, and his name I know it.

After we talked for a little bit it all came to me, he's Joe Jonas. The singer that I have looked up to for years and stood behind him and his brothers.

"What?" Joe asked looking at me weird.

"I just put two and two together." I said laughing.

"So you know." Joe said laughing to himself. I have always loved his laugh.

"Yes, and it took me long enough." I said looking into his eyes. Joe was holding Jasmine while I paid for everything. I got her from him so he can pay for his stuff. Joe walked us out to our car and helped me put everything into the back while I buckled her up in the back seat. I went around to help Joe put stuff in.

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out some time? Just as friends." Joe threw in there quickly.

"It would be nice to have another friend." I said, I went around to the drivers side and wrote down my number while he said goodbye to Jasmine.

"Here." I said handing Joe my number.

"I will text you when I get home, okay."

"Okay, bye Joe."

"Bye Jasmine. Bye Kaycee." Joe said waving. I waved goodbye and started the car to head home.

After I got home and feed Jasmine, I put her down for a nap. I called my best friend Taylor.
