You and Phillip were growing closer, and one night you were on a date with him. As a short, chubby girl, you didn't feel comfortable eating around him. Keeping your plate to a minimum, you nibble slowly on what's there while Phillip devours a couple plates from the buffet.

"Babes?" He asks, eyeing your plate suspiciously. Pointing his fork to the barely touched food, "you haven't hardly eaten!" He pries, placing his fork on the napkin and stands, sliding into your booth.

"I'm not hungry." You shrug, looking to your left. You hadn't the nerve to tell him that Frank had called you out, saying you were looking kind of heavy. You had taken it to heart and felt much larger than you really were.

"You said you were starving before we left." You feel the tears begin to well in your eyes. With a gentle hand, he pulls you to face him.

"Frank just made mention that I was looking a little big." You mutter.

"I swear." He grunts, grabbing your hand and pulling you with him to the truck.

"Honestly Phillip, it's not a big deal."

"It is." He grunts. Shoving the truck into park in Frank's driveway, he stalks up the walkway to his door, pounding with a tight fist. Frank steps outside only to have Phillip drag him out the door and slam him into the side of his car. "You tell Marie she's looking chunky?" He growls, one hand clasped tightly around his throat.

"I did. I'm just worried about her." He rasps.

"Worried about what? She's perfect and beautiful the way she is. You so much as look at her again I'll kill you." He spits, tossing him to the ground and walking away.

"Phillip you didn't need to do that." You whisper, watching as Frank pulls himself from the dirt and gives you an apologetic look.

"I did. I have to defend my woman's honor." He chuckles, pulling you against him and pressing a soft kiss to your lips. "I love you."
