I don't know, I wasn't thinking, I saw the guys bike get tossed from under him and him roll a few times on the ground. I see one guy go running toward the guy on the ground. Then I see two other guys run to grab Elizabeth and Skylynn. I don't think, I take off my shoes, starting to run towards the guy. "No!" Sky yells, I glance over at her before basically sliding to the boy.
"Who the hell are you?" The one crouched by the injured one ask.
I don't even glance at him, "Doesn't matter right now, now does it. I saw how he landed. He has the chance for a concussion or broken bones. Then he's clearly bleeding. What's his name?" I ask.
"His names Hayes, I'm Tez." The guy informs me.
I remove the goggles off of Hayes, his eyes are closed, "Hayes, if you hear me can you look at me?" He slowly opens his eyes to reveal the prettiest blue eyes I've seen. "I need you to not speak, and to keep your entire body as still as possible. Blink twice if you understand" He blinks twice. "Tez, while I'm checking his head out, I'm going to need you to find something so we can cut his top open. If bloods soaking through that he's at least walking way from this with a pretty bad cut. And I'm assuming someone's called first responders?"
"I did" The guy who went for Skylynn says, I nod, not looking at him.
I take his helmet off, slowly and carefully moving his neck around and examining his head, making sure he doesn't have a concussion. He doesn't seem to, he seems fine , all except the cut on the left side of his chest.
I look up and look around, spotting Johnny, "Can you get me a rag or something? We have to put pressure on this." I tell him, he nods, running off to the house.
I hear the sirens beating as Johnny comes running back, he kneels down next to me , handing me the rag. I set it on Hayes chest, pushing down on the wound, you can tell Hayes is in pain.
"Tez, go to the entrance and meet them, bring them back here to the track." I tell him, he nods, running off. About five minute pass before Tez comes back with the ambulance. The paramedics run up to me, "No signs of a concussion, no broken or sprained bones, he's just going to need stitches."
One of the paramedics nods, "If that's the case" he looks around taking in what happened, then moving the towel off of Hayes, "he got lucky"
