There is a boy I know.
He has black hair that is always too long.
He likes to draw,
But he never thinks he's any good.
He makes stupid jokes,
And makes himself laugh.
He loves hard,
But never for very long.
This boy has asked me to write for him
Because he wants to be remembered.
So that he will never die,
At least not in writing.
And I have told him that I will.
And I am.
But I didn't tell him
That I don't need to.
Because he will always be remembered.
By everyone he ever met.
Because he is the type of boy
That nobody would forget.
I hope he remembers that.
