What  a terrible morning, as always.

My mother is always a total nag, so I think.

Here is a list of things you need to know about me:

Name:Mikayla Dawson.

Age:15 years old.

School:Normandy South  High School

Family:Two siblings and parents.

My life may sound normal but here's the thing; I rarely get to see my father as he is away most of the time and my mother just goes out at night everyday like it's a party so my siblings and I stay at home alone most of the time.

What was I to wear today? Black and white Aztec tights, pink t-shirt ,a floaty orange loose sweater and black and blue flats;so I did just that. Suddenly, I heard my normally extremely lazy mom call me, "Are you going to stay there forever or come and get some dang breakfast?"

"Coming! Yeesh,"I replied. Plodding down the stairs ,an unusual but pleasant aroma wafted in the air. When I got down, I found myself in shock. My mother had finally used the cooker. I thought I was dreaming but it was actually true.

Soon I was snapped back into reality by my younger sister, Chetty when she said, "Mikaykay, come and eat breakfast!" What lay before me was a Spanish omelette, two sausages, blueberry pancakes and an orange.

"Well good morning ladies,"a voice came from the living room.

The three of us replied,"Morning mom."

"Slept well?"

"Yes we did."

So I just stood up,walked over to her and gave her a warm embrace; one  I  hadn't  given in a very long time. Both my sisters and my mom were in total shock.I whispered to my mother these two words,"Thank you".She whispered back her gratefulness. After a few minutes of staring,my mother told the rest to join in.A moment of embrace; a very happy moment for all of us.Sadly, that moment had to come to an end.

My mother said we should eat breakfast before we get late for school. That was when we rushed to the kitchen and ate as fast as possible.Soon everyone was changed and ready to go.The three of us stood outside the house. To our surprise yet again, the car was spotless and clean. What was once a dirty brown is now a gleaming red.

"Dang, that car is mighty fine ," I said. My sisters nodded in unison. My mother then snapped us from our shock and told us to get in the car before we get late for school. We then got in the car and set off for school.

About 10 minutes later, we arrived . We told our mom goodbye, got out of the car and watched her drive away.Soon it was our turn to part.Chetty went to the elementary,Avery to the senior high and me to the junior high.

Well,a new day was about to begin for me.
