You woke to a cool breeze filling the room. You sighed and got up; the moon still had it's hold over the sky. The crickets chirped and soft rain pitter-patted on the exterior of the apartment. Flashes of light was followed by the rumble of thunder. The curtains billowed in the wind as you strode over. You folded your arms and gazed out at the world.
Cars were packed in the street like ice to ice cube trays. You sighed and leaned into the wall. You heard a pan drop to the floor with a crash and jumped, it was probably your damn cat again. Walking to the kitchen, you saw a white fluff lying in a pan.
"Angel!" You growled. Angel mewed in response. He looked at you with his yellow, with brown and green flecked, orbs. You then chuckled and scooped him up. "Silly kitty." You scratched behind his ears. His paw pressed against your cheek. Angel's cold pads on your skin made you shiver.
He licked your nose then sniffed your hair. He then proceeded to play with it like it was string. You let him and walked over to the fridge. After digging out chocolate, you nibbled on a piece and picked up the pan. You leaned on the wall and held your fluffball.

"It's just you and I..." You frowned. Your Ex left a month ago; he left Angel, and everything else but his car. "Bastard..." You muttered. Angel licked your hair then started to try to eat it. "Ew!" You held him close despite your discomfort. Some warm tears dropped on his white head. He stayed there, silent.
After a while, you set him down and threw out the trash. You made your way out of the kitchen and saw that a picture was moved.

"Not where I put you..." You frowned and fixed it. You then headed to your room again. A hand pressed a cloth to your face and you melted into warm arms. You heard Angel growl as you slipped into unconsciousness.
