Louis's POV
"Why do I have to go"? I groaned as i finished packing the last bit of my clothing. "Louis, this is gonna be a good experience for you! You're going to get to learn more about your culture". My mom kissed my head and walked down the hallway. "Why.."? I mumbled under my breath. I grabbed my suitcases and walked down the stairs to see my mom and Angie waiting for me by the door. I enveloped Angie into a hug first. "Im gonna miss you lil bro,try not to get into any trouble while you're there". I smiled deviously making Angie laugh. "I can't promise you anything". I walked over to my mom who was tearing up. "Remember Mommy's only a phone call away. I love you so much and have fun while you're with your Dad you don't get to spend to much time with him anyways". I enveloped my Mom into one last hug. "I know Mom. I love you too. And don't worry I promise I will! I love you guys bye"! I said walking out to the Taxi Cab that was parked in the driveway. I handed my bags to the Taxi Driver and plopped down in the back seat next to my Dad. "Seriously Dad,why do I have to go"? My Dad sighed and turned his attention to me. "Louis, complaining isn't gonna get you anywhere in this. You just need to face the fact that you're going. Besides it may be fun. You'll have your cousins to hang around. And maybe, just maybe you might find a special someone". I furrowed my eyebrows. "No Dad...just no".
Or maybe he was right what if I do have fun? Maybe this could be a good experience after all! Wait, what the heck am I talking about? I didn't want to go to this in the first place. Why couldn't I have just talked myself out of this like Angie did? That would've been the smart thing to do. To bad I don't think before things happen sometimes. Like my Dad said,I need to face the fact that I'm going and I can't get myself out of it.
I think I zoned out for quit a while because we were already at the airport. My Dad quickly paid the driver and gestured me to follow him towards the terminal. A pretty blonde lady with a russian accent checked us in and pointed to where our gate was. I followed my Dad up the escalator and once we got off you could see a big sign that read 'International Airways' and it read 'Venice Italy' in blue font under it. We made our way towards the gate that was now boarding. "C'mon Lou"! my Dad said gesturing me towards the line of people. I smiled as we were next to board the plane.
"Alright passengers flight to Venice Italy is now taking off"! the intercom spoke. "So you excited". my dad asked. "I guess"...I replied. I buckled my seat belt as the plane began moving. This is gonna be one heck of a summer.
