Today was moving day. For some dumb reason my parents decided to move across the county from Los Angles to Riverdale. Away from all of my friends, my hiding spots, my childhood. I loved the city, there were so many things to do. Going from huge city to small town is a huge difference. I don't know why either. Every time I ask my dad he says its
for a new job and better life. I don't know what's wrong with the life we have right here. The only thing I know that I know is when I overheard them talking one night when they thought I was sleep, was something about the Lodge or Lodges. No clue. I'm just glad were not driving there.

---A couple hours later---

The first thing I noticed when I got off of the plane is that it was strangely foggy and cold. I had a weird vibe. I hated it already. We got to the place were staying and it was really different, but in a good way. From in a crammed apartment in LA to a huge house here. The best part was the huge tree in our backyard. The inside of the house was beautiful. I went right to my room and started to unpack all of my things, as they got to the new house before us. I didn't have that much so it was pretty easy. I got done in a couple hours so, I flopped on my bed and started reading a book. I got bored fast so I decided to go get something to eat. I put on my shoes and walked out the door. So, I got to a small diner named Pop's. I loved it already because it had a loving and comfortable feel to it. I walked in and a small bell rang. I walked to a booth in the corner of the diner. Soon someone came by, gave me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink so, I got a strawberry milkshake. The waiter came by and took my order and I just sat there sipping my milkshake and taking in all the new changes. Soon, someone slid into the booth across from me as I was staring out the window. I looked up and seen a boy. He looked me right in the eye and just smirked.

"Hey, I'm Chuck. You new to Riverdale?" he said, still looking at me.

"Uh, Yeah. I'm Mia" I said with a small smile.

"Well, you need a friend, don't you?" He replied

"Yeah, sure I guess"

As I said that he got up and slid next to me, a little too close to comfort.

"H-Hey could you move over a little?" I asked, stuttering a little, as I was uncomfortable and nervous.

"Now why would I do that?" A he said that his hand came to my thigh and slowly started to inch up more and more as the seconds passed.

As I was wearing a light yellow summer dress this was not going to end well. I started to squirm a little in my seat as I tried to get away. I couldn't though because I was squished in the booth next to the window.

"Can you please stop that and leave!" I shouted the last part a little.

That brought attention to us a little but soon, everyone turned back to their meals. But, there was one boy across the diner that kept staring at us. Soon, I think he put two and two together and got up from his group of friends and walked over to my table. As he walked over I took in his profile. He was tall and stocky with broad shoulders and his most striking feature was his bright red hair. Soon, he got over to our table.

"Is everything okay over here?" His deep, smooth voice said.

I felt very comfortable when he spoke.

"Yeah, we're fine Archie, go away" said Chad.

"I didn't ask you Chad. I was asking her" The so-called Archie replied, pointing to me.

He looked deep into my eyes and soon told Chad to leave if he didn't want trouble.

"Thank you so much. I didn't know what would happen if you didn't come when you did." I said to him motioning for him to sit down.

He did and I noticed when he sat I still needed to look up to see his face. When I seen it close up, he was stunning. Flat dark eyebrows, soft brown eyes, a sharp nose and jawline, and a nice smile that was warm and welcoming.

"Hey, it was no problem. I'm Archie by the way. I don't think I caught your name"

"I'm Mia. I just moved here today."

"Well nice to meet you, Mia"

As he said that my food came and I thanked the waiter.

"If you want you can come sit with my friends and I. I'm guessing you want some company after that episode"

"Thank you, I would love that" I said with a small smile.

Archie smiled back at me and from there on I knew we would be great friends.
