My name is Iris Stocking and I've never been normal.

Before we get into that let me explain what normal is like in this world.

When you turn five years old you are granted a symbol somewhere on your body.

Usually they're on your wrist and those symbols will disappear if your "soulmate" touches them.

Stay with me! I know this sounds like the begging to some corny love story. Don't worry its not because I was born without one.

Yeah its been hard not being able to fit in but after fourteen years of getting rumors spread about you, you kinda get over it.

I'm nineteen now and I don't even care that I'm different.

I mean I have accepted this is my fate to be alone and everyone knows that you can't fate.

Here's how I was wrong...

*6:00AM*
My alarm goes off one hour earlier than its supposed to.

I wasn't expecting it to go off so early so it frighten me and I fell off the bed.

"Ugh! What a wonderful start to a brand new day" I said while getting up off the floor.

I grabs my phone and check the time, "Dang its six am" I rubbed my eyes as I sat on the side of my bed.

"Lets see...if classes start at eight am and its six am right now I have around two hours to get ready" I gets up and walk to my kitchen.

I grabs a glass cup while yawning, "isn't it already the second week of college?

It felt like only yesterday I was buying the cheapest clothes at Walmart while and the having to buy the most expensive computer" I talk to myself while not paying attention and drop the cup I was holding while trying to put it down on the table.

Glass flies everywhere and cuts me all over my left leg.

It makes me fall on the glass covered floor.
