This is set before the game begins, and is how the characters will first meet one another. Ships may be established this chapter. And yes, roommates are considered in this too.
If it is in your character's background to know and be friends already with other characters, and be made specifically to be shipped with said character, you, as the roleplayer, may not change that.
Rules (to the roleplayer) will be introduced this chapter.
1: No 'god modding'.
2: Ships cannot be forced
3: No killing until the game begins
4: You May ask to kill off a character with one of your own, but it will usually end up with the killer themselves not even knowing they killed. That is how this will work
5: Make an ooc chat, don't spam the roleplay chat with ooc
6: Have the most fun you can, given this is a killing game.
