Present day
It so happened that Hollie was walking to the apartment building, Jessica told her about. It had been less than an hour since she spoke to Andre. It has been two years since they spoke to each other, until now. He had the audacity to talk to her about how he knew he hurt her.
A single tear slide down her cheek, she quickly wipped it. It had been too long since she showed her emotion, or at least cried. She walked into the building, it was a decent building, well it was better than where she lived. She walked to the receptionist's desk. "Hello. My name is Rachel, welcome to City Hotel. How may I help you?" the receptionist with too much enthusiasm in her tone -almost making Hollie flinch,- said. "I was told I would living here for sometime."
"Okay, do you have a room key or room number?" 'Roomkey?'
Flashback
Hollie was on her bunk, reading a book. "Carson you have a visitor." the warden said as she banged the cell door. Hollie closed the book she was reading and got off from the bunk. "Who is it?" she asked raising her eyebrow. "Jessica." it seemed she had been visiting her more than she could remember. Hollie nodded and walked with the warden to the visiting area. They had arrived at the place, as Jessica looked up, her face brightened as she saw her best friend. Hollie walked closer with a small smile on her face. "Llie." she smiled. "Hey Jess." she sat down at the table. It felt like highschool, sitting on the table, of course that was before Andre came into the picture. "You're finally being released. I'm so happy right now." these past two years, seemed to bring Hollie and Jessica's friendship closer.
"I see. Though I still don't understand why you haven't gotten bored of me yet. I would." Jessica felt triggered. "Why is that?" Jessica furrowed her eyebrows. "Oh come on Jessica. I'm a screw up. My life is shit. From being accused, to being thrown in jail, my family disowned me for something I didn't do. I still wonder why you would still want to be my friend." Jessica was taken back from this. 'Where did this suddenly come from?'. "Where's this coming from? Hollie, people go threw shit in their lives. And for me still being here, it's because I still love you and care for you. Dammit Llie, you're more than just my best friend, you're a sister to me. I love you so much."
"Jess, I just can't do it. If you were in my situation I would do the same for you, hell I would take the blame. You and River have just been there for me. I wouldn't be any more grateful for that. I love you both, dearly. " a tear slide down Jessica's face. "Oh Lord. I swear I will make that bitch pay if I see her. Anyways, I got you an apartment, before you say anything. Just hear me out. It's in the same apartment complex I'm in. So no big deal." Hollie rolled her eyes.
"How is Elijah. I missed him." Elijah is Jessica's child. That's a story for another time. "He's good. He's at my moms'. I got you something, but I won't give it to you. Just go to Gus tomorrow and you will get it."
"Carson, time's up. Let's go."
"Bye. See you tomorrow." and that's how that day ended. Hollie left the visitation room and went to her cell room.
Present day
"Yes. I have a roomkey." she took out the key and gave it to receptionist. She examined "It's room 5038, just take the elevator to floor eight. Welcome to City Hotel. Enjoy your stay. " she said handing her a key card.
