Hayley's POV:

A soft breath escapes my lips, and as I stand glancing into the full-length mirror that's standing before me. I trail my gaze to the long, trailing white dress I vesture. The floral accessory on my head canvases thin vines of white flowers - as I grasp onto the floral bouquet in my sweating hands.

I bite my lip, examining my wedding dress for another moment longer. But I hear movement outside the bedroom door, before I avert my attention onto the closed wooden door - watching the knob twist. I immediately sense that it's the groom on the other side; and in the blink of an eye I plant my feet in front of the door, placing my hand firmly on the knob to stop it from swinging open.
"It's bad luck to see the bride in the dress before the wedding!" I breathe, still resting a hand on the cool wooden surface of the bedroom door. On the other side, I hear Klaus smirk. "My apologies, I just miss you is all." He begins. I wish I could see him.

My lips tug upward, and I lean my head onto the door. With my forehead pressed against it, my hazel eyes close briefly, in gratitude, when I hear his soft breathing on the other side. "Believe me, I miss you too." I whisper.

Klaus is silent one moment, before his low and accented voice sounds again. "How is our daughter?" He questions, before I glance over my shoulder to look behind me. I watch Hope fiddle with toys on the carpet - paying me the slightest bit of attention. I grin. "She's alright." I answer. I turn to glance at the door - as if the groom could meet my gaze. I let out a smooth breath, just when Klaus speaks.
"Are you ready?" He asks me lowly, in a whisper. My lips twitch, before quirking up into a genuine smile.

"Yes." I state without a sliver of doubt. "Are you?" I ask softly, raising my brows. I hear Klaus boom a chuckle to himself. "More than I'll ever be, love." He claims surely, earning a wide smile in turn. I feel my heart flutter, when my hand slowly drops to the knob - in preparation to pull open the door. I really, really want to see him. Then I hear Klaus tut on the other side, before I hear him grip the doorknob - it stiffens in my hand.
"It is bad luck, remember?" He mocks teasingly. In turn I suck in a sharp breath.

"I know...but I just want to see you." I say.

"Fifteen more minutes, love. Fifteen more minutes and I'll be standing at the alter in wait." Klaus assures, and I can almost hear the smile playing about on his full lips. I curl my lip, lifting my hand again to rest it on the wooden surface once more. I nod understandably, and turn to lean my laced vestured back on the door - gently throwing my head back afterwards. I sigh. "Fifteen minutes." I repeat his words softly. "I love you." I whisper against the door.

"I love you, Hayley Marshall. Soon to be Mrs. Mikaelson..." Klaus smirks. I crack a smile, before I eventually hear his footsteps sound down the corridor, and he leaves. I bite down on my lip - and turn to see Hope. Our 11 month old daughter turns to meet my eyes, while I squat down to her side. "Hey!" I coo in a whisper. I beam a smile, watching her puny lips form a small smile in return. "Whatcha doing?" I keep on my smile - for it's impossible to falter at the sight of her. Hope giggles and I reach to tickle her gently.

I pick her up, planting feathery kisses on her forehead. The bedroom door squeaks open, and I glance over my shoulder to see Rebekah, already plastering a smile so genuine. Her smile widens when she sends me a once over in awe, observing me in my white dress. I grin. "Came to take her?" I ask, holding Hope. The blonde Mikaelson showcases a bright smile, clasping her hands together. "Pleeeease."

She approaches the two of us, before gesturing politely for Hope. I carefully hand her over. "Now that I have this little angel, you finish getting ready, love." Rebekah's ocean blue eyes meet mine. "And you look gorgeous, Hayley." She adds with a genuine smile. I fail at suppressing another thankful smile.
"Thanks for taking her." I say, glancing down at Hope who can't seem to take her twinkling irises off her aunt Rebekah.

I grin. "I'll see you in fifteen minutes." I point eagerly. The blonde Mikaelson chuckles alongside a firm nod. She spins on her heels in her red bridesmaid dress, with Hope in her hold, nearly exiting the door. Beforehand she looks back at me.

I meet her steady gaze. "Hayley Mikaelson...who would've thought?" She says softly, as her lips tug upward. My lips twitch, and I watch the blonde Mikaelson turn around again with Hope, and exit the room, closing the bedroom door behind her.

I suck in a calm breath, turning to glance into the mirror again. I push back a strand of my long brown hair behind an ear, and swallow lightly.

Everyone's here, outside that corridor, for me, for Klaus - for us. Everyone.

I remember Klaus' certain words when asked if he was ready. More than I'll ever be, love, he said. I find my lips curving up, at the fact that I'm about to see him - in less than ten minutes...he'll be at the alter. And I, have never been so certain about such a great change in my life, ever.

I grab my floral bouquet, and suck in a ready breath, before opening the bedroom door, and making my way out into the corridor.
