Jinho couldn't believe what had happened to Hui.He was such a good friend to him. Not just a good friend, no, an amazing friend. A friend that would always, in every situation, put you first. He was the type of person that would always make you feel special, make you feel worth a damn, and not many people can do that in this day and age.
He never ditched any of the group to hang out with his other friends.
He never lied to others for his own sake.
He never cheated on those dreadful maths exams.
And...
He was Jinho's first love.
He was many of his firsts, for example, first kiss, first boyfriend, first person to rescue him after drunkenly getting in the back of a stranger's car...
Anyways,
He loved him a lot. At first romantically but, eventually, he got over him whilst still loving him in a platonic way. Hui was one of his closest friends, maybe even his closest, and the pain he felt was almost unbearable after he passed, every second that went by felt like an eternity without him. He missed him so much.
So much.
——
Jinho arrived at school, head down, spirits down, just everything: down. It felt like nothing could make him feel even the slightest touch of happiness ever again.
"Hey babe!" Hongseok said, walking in his direction.
Okay, maybe something, or someone, could.
"Hel-"
"Sorry Jinho, I was talking to Shinwon."
Ah yes, his boyfriend, Hongseok; the flirt of the group. Jinho didn't mind, he knew he was joking around, it was just how he rolled. They loved each other, that was all that mattered.
Hui was always the happy one of the group, he was the most popular and was every teachers' favourite. He kept everyone's mood lightened, so in his absence they just had to improvise.
What a shame Jinho skipped his drama classes.
And what a miracle that Hongseok was an aspiring actor.
Ring Ring
He couldn't imagine a life without any of his friends.
Ring Ring
What a life.
——
"Seriously though... are you okay?" Hongseok asked Wooseok, who hadn't said anything so far that day, and it was already lunch.
He nodded in response.
The thing is... their friendship group was quite open, and they needed each other, especially after Hui. They would share anything that was worrying them with each other, and they all had special bonds in their own special ways... but Wooseok.
He was very, ah, how to put this? Emotionless, most of the time. He'd been like that ever since Hyojong, which was 5 years ago already.
Anyhow, that's just how he was now. They knew he felt things and was in fact a pretty normal person, but it was quite concerning at his appearing lack of empathy.
Appearing.
Everyone in the group was either sad or angry that day, besides Wooseok, and they didn't understand why Hui would do such a thing. He was always so bright and happy? He was so popular and everyone loved him, literally, even Mr Nakamoto liked him!
And trust me, Mr Nakamoto not hating you was the same as the honour of being knighted. You were like royalty.

Wooseok:
Hi
Ada
You sleep well?Ada:

Wait no shoo sorry I men mhmWooseok:
WOW
You can call me mum if you wantAda:
NoWooseok:
I was jokingggggggggg
-
Wooseok didn't know why he was being like this, maybe because it was now late at night and he was bored, or maybe because Ada didn't know him, and he could be who he wanted to be. Either way, he felt... normal.
-Ada:
YOU sleep well?Wooseok:
Yea
I'm bored asf tho
Talk to me?Ada:
Can't sorry
Bye byeWooseok:
Oh
Cool
Bye-
Well that was harsh, Wooseok thought as he turned off his computer. Ada was his only form of entertainment, his headphones broke so all he could do now was either read or sleep, and he couldn't be bothered to read. Sleep it is, I guess.
-A week had passed, and throughout that week, the death of Hui was slowly accepted, although not forgotten, and the stress of school had gone back to being the main thing occupying the students minds.
However, the funeral was that weekend, on the Sunday, starting at 10am.
It was a big day for Hui, he was going to be buried. His body forever concealed under six feet of dirt. He didn't deserve dirt, and even Wooseok understood that, but every ounce of pain inflicted upon the others meant the world to him. So there he was, black shirt and dress pants, standing in front of his bathroom mirror, about to attend his friends funeral.
