- prologue -

Flashback, 13 years ago

A little girl was sitting in a room.

The room that was filled with lots of unfamiliar machines, computers and various of scientific tools. She looked up to see her father, smiling crazily at her.

"Honey sweetie, it will be a little painful, okay?" he smiled wider as the injection was coming in contact with her little arm. "I'll buy you ice cream if you don't cry."

She blinked a few times, looking at her father with her beautiful pair of eyes. "You promise?" she asked.

"Of course I do," he replied, and was about to push the needle into her arm when she asked, "Appa, what is this for?"

"This? Oh don't worry, sweetheart. This will turn you into a strong girl, so you'll be able to face the world when you grow up," he explained, a creepy smile never left his face.

"Strong? Will I be like eomma? She is strong."

His smile left his face for once. "Never talk about that slut," he hissed.

"What is slut, appa?" she looked at him with confusion in her eyes.

"It's nothing. Promise me, you'll never find out about what that word means until you die, because I hate that word." He put on his signature smile again.

She nodded. "So how strong will I be?"

"Since I'm your father, I'll control every single thing inside you. You don't have to worry about anything else, because I'll shut down your brain and all you can do is to follow my order. I'll protect you from the world and make sure that you'll have a happy life ahead, and when I die, you'll be ready to face the real world," he said, and the little girl blinked a couple times, not understanding what her father was saying.

"So are you ready, my princess?" he asked.

The girl nodded. "Ready."

Since then, without her knowing, her life changed drastically.
