"Who's going to be my bus buddy?!" Talia cried out. "Idk." I responded, leaning up against a locker next to mine. "But we've always rode together to school since we were in kindergarten!" Talia wailed. "Maybe you could ride with us in Jack's thingama Jeep." I suggested. "Haha if he heard you call it that, he'd be so pissed! But maybe your right maybe I can ride with you guys to school." She replied excitedly. "Yeah! Then we both can drive Jack crazy!" I laughed. And she joined in. Just then someone came up to me. You'll never guess who. C-ccarter.... Carter Dylan. I guess I must have zoned out. Talia started trying to push me out of the way. "Uh, excuse me, uh-h I don't know your name. I'm Carter..can I to get some stuff out of my locker." Carter said, smiling. "Nice to meet you, Carter, I'm Talia, and this is Amber! I guess we're your locker buddies! Well, see ya around." Talia announced, pulling me away from the locker. "Well, it was nice to meet you both. Hope to see you around sometime." He smiled and waved. We walked away down the hallway towards our first class.
"Ugghhhhh. Tell me I didn't do anything stupid." I groaned, looking at Talia for reassurance. "Well, you didn't say anything. But not saying anything kinda ruined it. Plus the weird staring." Talia added. "Ehehehehe taliaaa.." I cringed. "Don't worry, you'll live. I'm sure of it!" She said, taking my arm and steering me into a classroom. "I'm so glad we have more than half of our classes together! Plus lunch!" Talia squealed, looking around the room for desks with our names on them. "Yeah me too! If you weren't here with me, I think I'd never be able to come here at all." I explained. "Really? Your that afraid of people, Amber?! We need to get you out more often." She added trying to act seriously. But I just rolled my eyes at her, and continued looking for desks with our names. That's when I saw it. A name card that read; "Carter Dylan". I turned to Talia.
"Talia, tell me I'm not see what I'm seeing, or I'm going to die of embarrassment." I whispered. "Nope, your seeing, what your seeing. Isn't it great!!" She shreiked zealously. "No...it's not... I'm terrible at conversations, and I pretty much embarrassed myself already. He probably thinks I'm a freak, or rude person." I mumbled, stumbling into a desk with my name on it. Thankfully Talia sat right across from me. "Well, I know people say first impressions are everything, but hey! Give yourself a break your new to this social, talking thing!" Talia laughed. "I'll try." I whispered back.
