I Woke up to my alarm ringing in my ear, "diamond get your black ass down these stairs right now" my mom said yelling from down the stairs. "Rd mama I'm coming" I screamed back. I got up, fixed my bed, hopped in the shower, and started looking for my outfit.
While looking in my closet I heard my phone ringing from my bedside table so I rushed to pick it up before it went off, it was my best friends Mia and Malika jai. "Heyyy bitch" Mia screamed in to the phone,"fuck is you so loud for it's too early for all that" Malika said back. "Ok can y'all stop arguing and help me find my outfit. "Ard let me see your closet" Malika said

I went into my closet and flipped the camera,"ok which outfit should I wear" I said . " ohh wear the white body suit" Mia said "and pair it with the blue high waisted jeans" said Malika "then add the Gucci belt" they said in unison, "I like it thanks y'all" I said smiling "No problem you know we always got you" Mia said. "so where should we meet up for breakfast" asked Malika as she was starting on her makeup. "Let's go to ihop " said Mia, " the one on thornton" Malika asked "yea ,I'll meet y'all there I gotta go I have to get ready" I said "ok byeee" Mia sang into the phone "always with the extra ness" Malika said as she hung up.

After I got dressed I went down stairs only to be faced with an angry mom. "Why the hell did you take so long to get ready", "I was talking to Mia and Malika, plus they was helping me get ready, so there's no reason for you to be that mad" I said whispering the last part. "What you just say" she said rolling her neck "nothing ma" I said walking pass her to the door. "Where you going" she asked" ihop, to meet up with Mia and Malika" I said with a slight attitude because she was waisting my time .
"Watch that attitude and don't forget to go to your grandma house" " why can't I just stay here I'm going to do nothing but my homework, eat, and sleep, you keep treating me like a child, I'm in 11th grade and almost 17" I said raising my voice a little, " raise your voice at me again and you're gonna regret it, you can stay home but no friends except the ones I know" thanks ma you're the best, Mia and Malika are coming over"." Ok, now go before you get late" " love you, bye" and with that I left out the door.
When I got there they were already there just eating, arguing, and being baddies as usual " so y'all just decided to order without me" I said with a mug on my face "Well duh you decided to be late that your fault" Malika said. "I waited but u took too long and I was starving" Mia replied, "it's cool, I understand" I said sitting at the table.I called over the waiter to take my order and When I looked up, to my surprise he was actually really cute. He was dark skin, he had a beard and a fade plus he also wasn't dirty looking. "Hi, May I take your order" he asked not moving eye contact , "Um yeah,sorry I was distracted, I'll take three chocolate chip pancakes, some eggs and an ice tea", " ok coming right up" he said taking my order to the back.
10 minuets went by and he came back with my food . "If y'all don't mind me asking, what high school y'all go to"he asked coming back with my food in his hand. "We go to Drexel High " Mia said answering for us. "I start there Thursday, maybe I'll see you there". He said eyeing me as he was licking his lips." "Yeah' maybe" I replied feeling a little bold. "Aight can y'all stop boo loving so we can get to school and not be late on the first day" Malika said looking bored. "Ain't nobody was boo loving", "Sure y'all wasn't " Mia said as I turned my attention to them only for them to be giving me the "really nigga" face. "We go 25 minuets to get to school" Mia said getting up from the table. "Oh shit, umm I'll write my number on the napkin and you can text me later .... Amir" I said while giving him a slight smile. "Cool Imma text you" he said throwing me a wink and walking away leaving me with butterflies.
"Why did y'all have to say that", I said whisper yelling, " if we didn't y'all would have never stop looking at each other" said Mia as she stoped walking to look at me "plus you looked like you was feeling him and you just went through a break up with Elijah, you guys were pretty serious" Malika said also stoping and turning" "I know but that nigga is irrelevant to me and I honestly don't care about him" I said starting to get a little sad because me and him went through a lot together and he broke up with me out of the blue. "Don't cry" both Mia and Malika said at the same time "He ain't shit and he's gonna get his" Malika said as her and Mia were giving me a hug. "Let's get going to school so we can kill everybody with our looks" Mia said posing like she was in a fashion show. "You a mess, I'll meet y'all there" I said laughing and getting into my car.
When we got to school it was 5 minutes left till class started so I just grabbed my purse and and we started walking in. My first block was ELA in room 325 so I got there as fast as I could before the bell could ring. There were many kids in the room so I just went to the back of the class in the second row and took out my phone. The teacher came into the class and started talking about "expectations" and "rules" and all that other stuff so I just texted the group chat.

I zoned out until lunch because all these teachers were talking about is the syllabus and all that extra shit. I went to my car to get my books and put them in my locker but was stoped while trying to close the car door. "So you wasn't gonna speak to me".I turned around seeing the last face I wanted to see today, Elijah ". "What do you want cuz I don't got time for this today" I said closing my car door and leaning on it. "So that's how you speak you ain't gonna greet me with a hug, no hi, nothing", "hi Elijah, now why are you bothering me" I asked while walking towards the school. "Damn I can't just say hi" "no you can't because the only reason you would want to bother me is be cause you want something from me" I said stoping then turning towards him. "I just ain't seen you in a minute and wanted to see what's up", "and who's fault is that Elijah" I asked raising my voice, and he didn't reply he just looked off to the side. "Exactly"I said walking into school.
