Swinging through the city was something Peter did quite often. He used when he needed to get to places as Peter Parker and as Spiderman.

He finally reached his destination, downtown.

Venom was causing havoc and was calling for blood. His blood. He knew Miles was still asleep so he'd have to handle Venom on his own. That was something he didn't want to do, especially not by himself.

Getting right down to business he lands a few punches to Venoms' face. It didn't do to good, Venom had easily recovered from his attack and landed a punch that sent him flying into a building. Shakily Peter gets up and Venom says, "Spider-Man rejected us. Now Spider-Man must pay!"

Venom grabs ahold of Spider-Man and pummels him into the ground twice before Peter finally regains enough strength to land a solid punch back even though it hurt like hell. His whole body hurt as he continued to fight against Venom's constant attack, doing his best to try and keep as many civilians safe.

"No funny puns today, Spider-Man?" Venom asks as he slams Spider-Man against the wall. The citizens and police watched in horror as Venoms' long tongue began to trail Spider-Man's face.

Spider-Man stayed quiet even though he was disgusted by it. Venoms giant hand moved from Peter's chest to his throat. The alien symbiote had only one plan and one plan only. Spider-Man was going to die by his hand and his hand only.

But he wasn't going to kill him right here. He wanted to break home first. So in order to break him, he needs to watch him. See what he loved and then snuff him out right in front of it.

Embarking on this plan of his, he drops the boy in front of him and then leaves the scene. Peter regains his breath and somewhat consciousness, in one swift move, he managed to get to his feet and swing away. Every muscle and bone screaming in his body. What he needed now was sleep, he needed to heal.

Heading home, he managed to crawl back through his window. A giant thud sounding his return as loses his grip and falls the rest of the way in. He could faintly hear Aunt May calling him but it sounded more like a whisper to his damaged ears. Trying to form words to answer her the only thing he could muster was a breathless groan.

He could hear the knob rattle as the door came open, knowing all to well who it was he tried to conceal his face from her. "Peter?!"

Her voice sounded so worried and scared. His aunt quickly rushed over to him and took the mask off to reveal a slightly bruised faced Peter. Getting him up to his feet, she moves him over to his bed. "Peter, I know you hurt but I need you to help me get you out of your costume."

Nodding he begins to help his aunt. Once the costume is removed May sees the full extent of the damage the symbiote caused. "Peter, you need to go to the hospital.."

"I'm...okay....healing....need...sleeep...." Peter tells her as he begins to drift off into a dreamless sleep.

Aunt May pulls her phone from her pocket and calls into work and the calls Horizon to inform them Peter wouldn't be in for a few days. Sitting down in his desk chair, she stays there, scared to take her eyes off Peter.

The afternoon rolled around and she was constantly waking him up to make sure he was okay. He kept telling her he was and that he was, he just needed time to rest and heal. Miles had called Peter's phone so she answered it, "Hi Miles, Peter's sleeping right now. You're gonna have to call him later."

"Mrs. Parker, are you alright?" Miles questions, assuming she figured out her nephews' secret identity.

She lets out a shaky breath before she answers, "I worried about him. He took some really hard hits."

"I'll come over with Gwen and we can check him over if that will make you feel better." Miles tells her, a ringing noise is heard in the bathroom and he quickly says, "I got to go to class. I'll see you later, May."

After Miles hangs up, May sets the phone down on Peter's nightstand and sits back down in the chair she was previously sitting in. Peter begins to stir and he opens his eyes. Sitting up he remembers the fight with Venom and his aunt. He quickly looks over at his Aunt, who's sitting next to his bed cautiously watching him, and buries his face in hands letting his tears fall.

May scoots closer to Peter and puts a gentle hand on his back, "Peter it's okay."

"No, it's not. You weren't supposed to find out...I didn't want to worry you." He says through the tears.

"Peter I'd worry about you even if you weren't Spiderman." She tells him, "I'm so proud of all the people you've saved and I know Uncle Ben would be too."

Peter wipes his tears and then pulls his Aunt in for a much-needed hug. When they pulled away she says, "Now, get you rest."

Taking his Aunts' advice he turned over in his bed and went to back to sleep, knowing all too well that he needed his sleep to get back his normal self.

At Osborn Academy, Harry was in his lab. He kept replaying the clip of Spiderman and Venom fighting. There was something off about it. He noticed that Venom was right, Spiderman wasn't talking or spitting out quips. He continued to watch as Spiderman tried to keep the citizens and police safe from the monstrous villain known as Venom.

Maybe Peter was right, maybe he had this Spiderman character all wrong. Could this vigilante really be one of the good guys?
