Shawn paced back and forth in his small hotel room as he listened in on Andrew's phone call to book him a flight home. He didn't care that he was in the middle of a world tour, all Shawn cares about is getting home and getting himself out of this sticky situation with his girlfriend.

He should have known she was going to listen to the album before he got home. If he were in her situation he sure as hell would have too. He now understands how stupid it was of him to ask her to wait and listen to the album, he should have just told her what was going on before the album came out and avoided all of this.

He ran his shaky hand through his hair once more as he anxiously waited for Andrew to book the next flight home.

Andrew didn't exactly know what happened or why Shawn was in such a rush to get home. Shawn didn't give much explanation when he burst into the room demanding a flight home, so Andrew assumed it was something important or else Shawn wouldn't be so persistent.

He knows better than to fly home the night before a show.

"Okay," Andrew announced as soon as he hung up the phone. "Your flight leaves in a few hours and I've already called a car to pick you up."

"Thank you," Shawn exhaled, somehow feeling the slightest bit relieved by this information. "I need to get home so bad man, it isn't even funny."

His bags were already packed and all he had to do was wait a few more excruciating hours before getting one step closer to his girl. He couldn't stop thinking about how hurt she sounded on the phone earlier, how broken she was by the thought that Shawn didn't love her, and he hated it.

He hated seeing her upset like this, especially when he wasn't even home to explain things and make her feel better. Instead, he was trapped practically on the other side of the contenent while she was at home, hurting.

He picked up his phone to check if she had returned any of his calls or messages only to reveal he had no new notifications, just like last time he checked five minutes ago. Sighing, Shawn clicked his phone shut before aggressively throwing it across the room, not caring if it broke when it hit the wall.

He couldn't think about anything but his girlfriend right now and the thought of actually losing her was killing him.

A part of Shawn wished she hadn't jumped to conclusions so quickly because had she let him explain himself, none of this would be happening. She wouldn't be at home crying and thinking he didn't love her, and he wouldn't be sitting in this hotel room freaking out.

"Want to talk about it?" Andrew asked, breaking the silence between the two. "You seem pretty stressed about whatever's going on at home, is everything okay?"

Shawn sighed before sitting up and facing his manager. Andrew has always been someone Shawn could trust and he felt bad for waking him up so late in the night with no explanation to book him a flight home in the middle of the tour.

"I told Y/n not to listen to the new album until I got home," Shawn began, already earning a look from Andrew. "I know, it was stupid. Anyways, I didn't want her to listen to it since we decided to put Because I Had You on it and she had no idea the song existed, let alone what it was about. Low and behold, she listened to the album earlier and called me an hour ago in tears because she thought the song was about her and how she's just a rebound."

"You didn't tell her about the song before you released it?" Andrew questions, clearly disappointed with Shawn. It wasn't like Shawn to do something like this, even if it was unintentional. He was usually so careful with the songs he released and making sure the right people knew what or who it was about before they could jump to conclusions after hearing the song.
