"Ma, can you hurry up." I whined getting frustrated with waiting for her, it's been thirty minutes and she still ain't done. She walks out the bathroom rolling her eyes at me.
"Boy don't fucking rush me." She smacks her lips grabbing her purse.
"Ion know what took you so long, cause I don't see nothing that changed." I say shaking my head, I feel a sharp pain on the back of my head making me pout.
"You didn't have to hit me." I said rubbing my head, she waves me off getting her car keys walking out the door. I follow behind her, locking the front door. I get in the passenger seat, putting my seatbelt on.
"Ion know why you wanna move out so damn bad, hell you only 20 years old." My mom says pouting, I sighed knowing this conversation was gonna come up.
"Ma, it's time for me to move out. You made me get a job, so now that I finally saved up. I'm moving out." I said shrugging
"But you're my only baby, I don't want you too." She whines, I roll my eyes mentally looking at her like she was crazy.
"You have another kid, what are you talking about?" I asked her laughing
"You're my youngest though, I was happy as hell when you're older brother moved out, Eating all my damn food and shit." She says sucking her teeth
"You crazy Ma." I mumbled as we pulled up to one of the Apartment buildings I wanted to look at, I get out closing the car door behind me.
"This is nice." My mom says looking around the lobby, I nod my head agreeing with her as we wait for the landlord to meet with us.
"Hello, you must be Mr. McIntyre?" A white older man comes up to us smiling, I shake his hand nodding.
"All right then, let's get started shall we." He says pressing the elevator button. I get on the elevator listening to him rant about the how old the building and how he had renovations two years ago.
"This is a new renovated apartment, it has new wood floors, new kitchen counters, and the bathroom has also been renovated. We did change the paint on the walls but you're always welcome to change the paint as long as you paint it back like it was before when your lease is up." He says as I look around the apartment, I smile seeing how big and open the living room and kitchen was.

"It does have a office, that you could turn into another room if you are sharing a lease with anybody." He says fumbling with his keys.
"You said the rent was 1,100 right? That's not bad for this size of a apartment." I said talking to my mom as she snoops looking around.
"Can I come back tomorrow to make my decision on this apartment?" I asked him
"Yeah just follow me back downstairs and I'll schedule a meeting." He smiles, I thank him as we walk out the apartment.
"You still wanna go look at other apartments?" My mom asks typing away on her phone. I shrug sitting down in one of the chairs in the lobby as we wait on the landlord.
"Uh yeahhh." I said trailing off from what I was saying when I see someone one familiar. I bite my bottom lip as my eyes meet his, He smirks at me before looking away to continue his conversation with this light skin boy with tattoos all over his face and body.
"What are you looking at? Stop being fast." My mom says looking in the direction I was looking before slapping the back of my head as I whine moving over in a seat.
"Stop hitting me woman." I mumbled rolling my eyes.
"Roll yo eyes again, I brought you in this world, and I can take yo black ass out." She threatened, I roll my eyes again at her back looking behind me to see the light skin guy talking to the dark skin guy while they both kept glancing at me. I frown wondering what they are talking about.
I suck my teeth getting annoyed as they continued glancing at me, My mom nudges my shoulder telling me she's gonna go talk to the landlord. I nod as she walks away. I take my phone out texting nick to see if he wanted to go get some wings and a philly cheese sandwich.
"Wassup slime." I hear a familiar Louisiana accent, I look up seeing the same boy from the party standing in front of me. I raise my eyebrow looking him up and down while smirking.
