This is a thing that I made in my history class. My teacher made us act like a person from Valley Forge, and I went with a guy. All I did from the one that was made in class was change my last name and fixed somethings with grammar (also added sent.).

February 12, 1777
Dear Maria Leva,
Pain, and that's all I can say about what has happened in the last number of years. I have been by General George Washington's side this whole as you know. I have seen almost all of my closest friends die. Do you remember John Con? John sadly died a number of days ago from illness. His body will be sent to his mother's home in only a number of days, for he will be miss.
The pain that we had last year was bad. From us walking for over nine miles without a stop in the middle of the night, leaving in the middle of the night to fight at Princeton, and being slammed in the ground that I taste the dirt. Everytime we lose it to the British feels like, they're pushes us deeper and deeper into the dirt. Some of our friends are staying in the dirt, but most are just trying to breath. I'm one of the people that are going to breath and keep fighting.
I just wish I could see you again, and oh it's been over two year the last time I have seen you. I don't want you to come to Valley Forge, oh God hon. We are losing people, and so many I can't think about how many anymore after the War I will see you beautiful Maria. We don't know when this is going to end, but even if this doesn't stop I will see you one more time.
A good number of us don't have right clothing, boots, blanket, and not getting all the food we need. The last time I had a bit to eat was morning yesterday. We all feel like death is at our door, and Steuben isn't helping that problem. That man almost kills us everyday from to get us ready to get Philadelphia back. He and Washington it back in The United States of America's hands. I hope to see you soon Maria, and say hi to our son at least one last time.
