He walked me towards the jeep. It was a deep color of navy with black around the tires. Its license plate looked brand new as did the car. "Caleb, now we need to be at the hotel in ten minutes. Get in." The tattooed man screeched at Caleb. He motioned for me to get in. When I showed no signs of moving, Caleb went to open the door and then grabbed my arm pulling me into the vehicle. The car was driving to this hotel that I was supposed to stay in I think.
"How long are we staying at this hotel?" I aimed my question at Caleb. He just looked out the window pulling out his phone and started texting someone. "How about you?" I asked the tattooed man.
"I have a name" he scoffed. "I'm the second in command of this gang. You can call me Nick" his eyes glanced at my dark brown hair braided loosely sitting over my shoulder. "Take the braid out, we don't want anyone to recognize you" My fingers slid through my hair leaving it loose hanging long on the side of my face. "we are staying for one day." He finally answered resting his head on the window. The rest of the ride we sat in silence except for the low rumble of the car and the driver humming quietly.
We finally got to the hotel but instead of going in we went around the corner and pulled into the back of the five-star suite hotel. This tall muscular guy approached our car. "OK we're here, get out" Nick said well rolling his eyes sounding bored.
"Wh-what. Alone! You can't leave me here." I tried frantically to negotiate. The intimidating guy outside opened my door.
"You are going with Oliver. Our gang associate right there."
"Nick, please don't ma-" I was cut off by the guy dragging me out of the car.
"Andrew take care of her. We will be back for her in the morning." Caleb directed the man. "Inform her abut the king," and with that he slammed the door and the car skidded away.
"Lets go" Andrew led me into the hotel. We went to the elevator to floor eight. The ride up was silent and I had nothing better to do but to look at him. He was much taller than me, around six foot seven. His hair was a dirty blonde and his eyes were a deep green. I was thinking about if his jawline was as sharp has a diamond when he turned to face me. Our eyes met. I was so embarrassed I hadn't realized I was starring. My cheeks turned a deep shade of red. I thought he would be mad at my starring but he just smirked. The gang member smirked at me. "you're cute when you're embarrassed." I didn't have time to respond because we where at our floor. "Room eight five one. It's your first left.
"I don't have a room key" he pulled out one from his pocket.
"Come on. We have an early start tomorrow." Andrew and I walked to the room. He slid the key and the door clicked open. I was shocked to see that the room was huge. It had its own kitchen with two bedrooms and a balcony.
"Is this where we are staying?" My mouth slightly open in aw. "It's bigger than my apartment. This must have cost a fortune." Andrew nodded.
"It is all paid for." He paused would you like to know more about what's happening to you tomorrow?" Of course I did. What a dumb question to ask. He was waiting for my answer. Oh yeah I forgot to speak out loud.
"Yes, If you don't mind." I took a seat on the couch.
"We are sending you out alone tomorrow. You will be given a map of where the demon king supposedly is. He is very tricky so don't trust anyone."
"Is anyone accompanying me on my trip."
"No. The boss gave very clear instructions that you where supposed to go out alone."
"Can you at least tell me what he looks like?"
"No one has ever seen him." His voice apologetic. "We only have an idea of where his base is." Well that's helpful. I guess my good sense of street smarts is gonna have to help me out. "You better get your sleep, tomorrow is gonna a be a ruff day. I walked over to what I assumed was my room. I took a hot shower and curled up In bed, mentally preparing my self for tomorrow.
