Grayson-
My house is quiet and small, that's the way I like it and that is why I live in the middle of a forest secluded from the rest of the world; that's why as I prepare my dinner there is a faint bump and rustle from outside, something wasn't right. Curious, I put down my knife and place it quietly on the bench waiting for any further noise.
Another bump and i'm briskly walking to the door to inspect, I quickly grab my cloak and march out the door.
The cold air nips at my skin but my adrenaline numbs any pain as I creep around the side of my house, I pause to listen and hear the rustling deeper in the forest. so as any sane person, I go into the forest. the soft snow crunching under my feet, the rustling gets louder. a bush moves in front of me and a whimper follows, thinking it's most likely an animal i pull out my knife. But as I get closer I can see pale flesh curled up into a ball almost blending with the snow. i slowly creep around it tucking my knife back is its holder, and crouch to get a bit closer. It appears to be a girl, white hair, and pale skin shaking in the snow, completely naked.
"what are you doing out here with no clothes?" I ask my tone harsh possibly to scare her away from my house.
she slowly lifts her small head, and a pair of crystal blue eyes meet mine with fear, a small tear rolls down her cheek as she looks at her surroundings, slightly confused and dazed. she looks back to me and in a small melodic voice answers.
"I-I'm so sorry but I don't know." she weakly replied.
She clearly didn't know where she was, and I couldn't leave her here or take her to somewhere because there's nothing around here for miles; unfortunately this small girl will have to stay with me. i take of my cloak and drape it over her, helping her to stand.
"come on lets get you inside we will go into to town tomorrow."
"I am Lolita. Who are you?" she questioned a curious look on her face.
"I didn't ask, and you don't need to know" i replied, she just smiled and nodded softly. shes annoying.
She was also to weak to stand let alone walk, so without notice I grabbed her waist and hoisted her over my shoulder, luckily the cloak is still on. I can feel her small body is underweight and shaking as I hold her I begin to wonder how long she had been out here. Quickly opening my front door i rested her body on the couch and went to start a fire.
"Lovely home you have here, very cozy, I'd never leave the house if I lived here." she smiled looking around the room.
"well don't get to comfortable you'll be out of here by tomorrow." I quickly shut down.
she as before just smiled and nodded, the fire warmed up the living room and she slowly blink seemingly mesmerized by the flames. she seems occupied by that enough time to go finish making dinner.
I walk back to the kitchen with my back turned to the girl, Lolita, and begin chopping up some carrots for my chicken soup. I was out hunting earlier and found a whole flock of chicke-
"What are you making?" she softly whispered, goosebumps covered my body.
"chicken soup."
"ooh yummy" she whispered, leaning closer to get a smell of the pot; her head resting on my arm. annoying.
I shook her off and told her to go sit back down by the fire, she just smiled and nodded. I don't really know how to act around people, I haven't had proper human contact in around 5 years and all of this is rather foreign. she seems fragile bit I don't exactly know how to be gentle. she reminds me of a little snow angel; pale, small and angelic. But annoying.
I place two bowls of fresh chicken soup on the coffee table in front of the couch and turn on the TV, I look back at the couch seeing her stretched across it, she realizes and quickly pulls her feet in with a shy smile. I take a seat and sip on my soup watching whatever comedy show was on at this time of night, when I felt her crawl onto my arm and snuggle in close lightly giggling at the TV. she was oddly comfortable being in a strangers home, and I had every intention of pushing her off but as her giggles filled the room my mind became relaxed. so I just sat there.
