Chapter 1 Part 1:The Journey Begins

As Calliope walked on to the fairy ,which was traveling to Barnacle Bay, she noticed a very large cloaked figure in the corner. " Hey tall ,dark ,and gloomy," said Calliope as she walked over to the figure. The figure stood at about 9'6. " What do you want," said the figure as he looked down to hide his face with his cloak. "Who are you," she asked. "That is no business of yours," replied the figure. " Well you don't have to be an ass about it," she said walking to the bar. As she drank she noticed a large drunk orc wall over to a female elf. " H...hey pretty lady want to have a fun time," he mutters grabbing her shoulder. " Get your filthy hands off me," said the elf shrugging of his hand. " I'm done asking now come on," said the orc grabbing her arm. " Don't touch the lady," said the same cloaked figure that Calliope had seen earlier. " Oh yeah tough guy you got a problem," said the orc as he goes for a punch. " Actually I do," said the figure as he grabed the orc's arm and flipped him overboard. " Thanks you," said the elf. " It no trouble ,here buy yourself a drink," said the figure as he handed the woman three silver coins. " Hey that was really nice of you,"said Calliope waving for him to join her at the bar. He walks over and sits down. " So do you always where that cloak or what," asked Calliope taking a drink. " People don't like what I am," said the figure. " Look at me I'm half deer and no one cares," said Calliope. " Fine," he said taking off his hood to reveal horns and a tail comes out ,he was a Tiefling. "So you're a Tiefling ,I've only met one of you,l before,"said Calliope. As he uncovered his face everyone moved positions away from his except the elf he helped. " See people don't like my kind," said the Tiefling. " I don't mind," said Calliope smiling. " Drake," said the Tiefling. " Huh," said Calliope. " My name it's Drake," said Drake smiling. " I'm Calliope," said Calliope. " It's getting late ,I'm going to head back to my quarters," said Drake getting up. " You don't have to go," said Calliope grabbing Drakes arm. " I really need to go," said Drake pulling his arm away. " Oh I...ok," said Calliope getting up and walking the other way.
That Night
"Ma'am wake up,"said a guard trying to wake up Calliope. " Hmm....what's going on," asked Calliope. " We are being attacked by Orcs,"said the guard. " Oh god ,wait my friend Drake is he ok," asked Calliope. " You mean the Tiefling ,he's fighting," said the guard. " What I have to help him," said Calliope running up in the deck. " Oh look I got me some venison," said an Orc Captain grabbing Calliope. " Let me go," yelled Calliope. " You're going to be real good over an open fire," said the Orc Captain. " Hmm I was thinking the same thing about you,"said Drake as a fire bolt hit the back of the Orc Captain catching him on fire. " Calliope are you ok," asked Drake catching Calliope as the dying Orc Captain. " Dr...Drake your hair it's on fire and your eyes they're black," said Calliope. " This is why I went to my quarters I...I didn't want the one person that didn't see me as a monster to see that I am one," said Drake. " You're not a monster ,you saved my life," said Calliope putting a hand on Drakes face but quickly pulling it away blushing. " Oh I'm still holding you here," said Drake putting Calliope down blushing. " I guess we should get this ship out of here," said Drake. " What are you going to do move it," mocked Calliope. " How'd you guess," said Drake smiling back at her before pushing the ship out of the fairy. " Oh my gods," said Calliope awestruck. " Are you two coming," asked the guard. " No ,at least I'm not, I have me a new ship," said Drake jumping on the Orc's ship. " What about you Ma'am," asked the same guard. " I....I don't know," looks back at Drake and then back at the guard. " Well I'm still going to Barnacle Bay ,so if you wanted to go with me you could," said Drake. Calliope smiles and jumps on Drakes new ship.
