6:30 am

The sun rays came in through the windows, filling her room with brightness and beauty. One of the rays shined on her light skinned face, obligating her to rise from her bed. But instead, she turned around and flipped and turned for many minutes. After half an hour of lazying around the bed, she rose up and got ready for her morning. She went down the stairs, turned the old, dusty T.V on, and started making her coffee. "Good morning. In our news today, a wrestler has offered himself to go on a blind date. Wonder who would actually accept that offer of his…" An enthusiastic news reporter announced. "That's ridiculous." A 'ding' was heard coming from the kitchen. She legged towards the kitchen and poured the hot, dark coffee into her cup.

She usually likes to take long, thought provoking walks early in the morning. And so she did. She walked around in circles at the park. Observing every little detail in the sky, as well as on the floor. The beautiful colors of yellow, orange, and pink painted across the sky; the blue getting ready to appear in her eyes. Suddenly, a tall, athletic, blond man bumps in to her. Before he would even say a word, he grasped her hand quickly to make sure she wouldn't had fallen. "I'm so sorry." He said, his blue eyes slowly gazing up at her, his hand still on hers. "It's okay." She replied, rapidly pulling back her hand. "Thanks."

He blinked and stared at the graveled floor. Thinking if he should continue a conversation or leave awkwardly. "I'm Christian, who are you?" He decided to ask. "I'm Melissa. Nice to meet you, Christian." She smiled. "I like your eyes. It's like the clear evening is already in your eyes instead of being in the sky." She continued. "Thanks, he chuckled, that's a very sweet observation." He paused. He raised his arm and checked the time. 9:36 am. "Hey, I was thinking, maybe, if you wanted to hang out with me today? All day! Until whenever you want to leave." She widened her eyes in surprise. A date so soon? Why would anyone ever do that? "Should I? I just met the man." She thought. "Fuck it, he's hot."

"Sure. Let's hang out!" She chimed, a bright smile coming after it. He smiled back and looked anticipated and excited.

                     --

"What should we do?" She asked as she watched the people walk past her. "I don't know." He answered. His eyes surfed around the park. The blue already painted on the sky. "Wanna go to the beach?" He requested with much indifference. "The beach? Isn't that a little far?" He landed his gaze on her. "Not for me. Plus it'll be fun. We'll get to know each other more. Wouldn't you like that?" She sighed and accepted the adventure. After packing for the beach, they were already on the road. The road was clean. Not much traffic, the sun was out; it was a perfect beach day.

Christian was focused on the road. And from time to time he would glance at the girl he just met. She was always staring out the window. Ever since she got on that seat she only observed the outside. He sighed profusely and flipped through the stations to maybe bring up a topic out of it.  Melissa made a subtle movement and started watching the front of the road. Christian gulped. "So…" he was quickly interrupted. "I don't really like the beach." She stated. Christian's expression went into utter shock. "Then why did you tell me to go to the beach?!" He exclaimed. "Because I didn't know what else we could do!" She yelled back. "Calm down!" "You calm down!" She replied. "Look. Let's just go anyways and we'll play in the sand or something." He remarked. Melissa stayed silent. Her arms crossed.

Suddenly, "Open Arms" by Journey started playing on the radio. "Lying beside you… here in the dark… hearing your heart beat with mine…" Melissa mumbled. Christian shifted his gaze to her. Calmly watching her sing. "Softly you whisper… you're so sincere… how could our love be so blind…" Christian joined quietly. Melissa looked at him while he sang as well. She smirked and looked forward once more. "We sailed on together… we drifted apart. And here you are by my side…" they both sang lowly in unison. "So now I come to you, with open arms, nothing to hide, believe what I say, so here I am, with open arms, hoping you'll see what you're love means to me, open arms…" they sang loudly. They both locked eyes and laughed. They sang the whole song until the very end. "You have a really nice voice." He complimented with a smile. "Thanks." She flashed a smile back.
