We go back to bed when Kryss and Taylor leave. I become worried as I get up again, and text Kryss to see if Amber came back at all. The words "not yet" haunt me. I hope she is okay.
I am waiting forever for her to come home. When I hear the door being tried I open it. "Amber!" I yell. I hug her and sit her down. I'm so glad she's home.
" Shhhh. My god, Destery, you're so loud. Be quiet" she hisses at me. "Sorry" I mumble. "Whatever. I have to go out again. I met a friend, and she said we should go to dinner. I have to leave" I am shocked by what she says. "Why can't it be tomorrow" I ask. Before I finish she's out the door.
I decide to tell Nathan I'll pick up Taylor. I need to get out more. I also need to get out so I don't get blamed for the hole in the wall. I drive up and we have a short conversation on the way home.
