Fell Deep Under

Chapter 1:

I sighed as I look through the window of my sister’s car. We’ve been travelling for hours but we haven’t reached our destination yet.

As a transferee, I need to live in my mother’s best friend’s kids. I don’t know why they need to do this to me? I let a sigh once again.

“You’ve been sighing since this morning, is there something bothering you?”

I turned my head to her “Is this the final decision? I mean, do I really need to live with them?”

She sighed “I’m sorry Kelly, but it’s for the best. Our parents want you to have a better education. So it’s better for you to study there, at North Ridge University”

Yeah.  North Ridge University… a school miles far away from home.

“Do you think they’ll like me there?” I anxiously asked her

Laughter left out her lips “What a question Kelly”

“Just answer it Sally” I demanded. I’m being nervous all over and she’s just laughing at me. What a sister!

“Okay, okay, of course they’ll like you” she paused and continued…maybe?” and then she gave me a teasing smile.

“You’re unbelievable Sally; I don’t know why you’re my sister”

“I know right. I love you too Kelly” she said with a charming smile.

After miles and miles of hour of travelling, we finally reached our destination. She parked the car in front a huge house or should I say a huge MANSION. I awed when I looked at it.

“Come on Kelly” my sister called me. I went at the trunk and she helped me take out my baggages. She pressed the door bell. And a young, beautiful lady surprisingly greeted us.

“Hi there, you must me Sally Anderson” she said to my sister and turned her gaze at me “And you must be Kelly Anderson, It’s nice to see you both. I’m Charlotte Davidson”

I gave her a warm smile “Thank you and nice to meet you too” I said.

“Well, come inside. I bet you’re really tired after those hours of travelling” she almost took a step away when my sister stops her.

“I’m sorry the break it, but I need to go. I just took my sister here” I turned my head to Sally, she’s smiling at Charlotte.

“What? You’re leaving? Why?” I blurted out, that was fast.

“I’m sorry Kelly, but I need to get back home for work. I’m going to miss you Kelly” she wrapped her arms around me.

I hugged her back “I’m going to miss you too; too bad you’re leaving now. Take care and be careful on your way home”

She released and smiled at me “I will. Charlotte, you’ll be able to take care of Kelly right?”

“Of course, after all she’s the daughter of my best friend” she said.

Sally looked at me and patted my head “I’ll be leaving now. I love you sis”

“I love you too, bye”
