Once upon a time, in an imaginary land, their lived a baby Blue Jay. The young Blue Jay had just finished his first day of school and was preparing for an adventurous journey home. He was very excited to return home to tell his parents about all the great things they did.

The journey home took him past the open field they use for recess and through the woods where he came across a slowly moving turtle. "Good day Mr. Turtle", the polite Blue Jay said.

"Why yes, it is! A fabulous day", Mr Turtle replied. "I didn't think you birds ever noticed, with all that zipping around in the air".

"What do you mean, Mr. Turtle"? Asked the curious Blue Jay.

"Everyday I see you birds race past with ever increasing speed. Never taking the time to enjoy the beauties of the forest" Mr Turtle said annoyingly.

"I don't know how to fly yet, Mr. Turtle. But if I walk extra quickly I will get to see my family much quicker". The little bird replied.

"The destination will still be there whether you arrive now or later!" belted the stiff looking turtle. He leaned in a said, "You must take your time or else you will most certainly miss something".

The little baby Blue Jay didn't want to miss anything, and he was tired from his walk. Perhaps a break was just what he needed? He convinced himself to rest for a couple of minutes. After a short rest he said goodbye to Mr. Turtle and resumed hi quest.

But it wasn't long before he decided to take another short resr, or break to smell the roses, or simply search up at the sky in fear of missing something. He beganto lag further and further behind.
