Niko had more hate in him than he did when he was a cub. So, he went to Pridelands and fought Nuko. "You never had the guts to fight me" Nuko told Niko. "you never loved me, so I'm making you like Grandma. After Niko said that, he pushed his father down a cliff. But as he was doing it, he got pushed down as well. Nuto had pushed him down a cliff as well. Niko and Nuko died together. Far off, Zuka saw Niko on the ground. He ran to him. "Father? Father!" Zuka tugged his ear to wake him up. "Come on dad its time to go home" he said. "dad?".

Zuka cried and snuggled under his father's paw. Nuto walked down and saw that his brother was dead. He laughed with glee as he walked away. Zuka saw that Nuto was laughing and knew that he did this. Zuka vowed to kill Nuto, and his pride. Zuka knew that Niko wanted him to become king of Outlands and Pridelands. Zuka looked back at Niko's dead body and ran back to Outlands. He told the hyena's what happened. They were also mad and allowed Zuka to be their new leader. They all promised to avenge Niko.
