Rikara OS: Udhoori Pyaas
Never did it happened that Omkara Singh Oberoi sat completely clueless in front of his art board. His fingers failed to pick up the paintbrush and drew strokes of whatever he desired like he always does. Omkara Singh Oberoi was the master of his own. He has always done whatever he wanted. He controlled everything in his life which was a child play for an Oberoi. And learning from the best of the best, his brother Shivaye, he knew how to bend the rules according to his wishes and to trick life and even people whenever he felt losing control.
The reasons for practicing control were simple: he didn't want to feel helpless and hopelessness or in other words, to guard his true self for being taken for granted. And that's actually what made him move on, to find a way out of every situation. The name, power, wealth that came from being an Oberoi and last but not the least, the intelligence were his weapons. So in the end, everything happens as he wanted.
There wasn't a single moment in his life where he felt totally blank, devoid or when his intelligence failed until now. His life, its every moment went according to his plans. He knew what his past was, the present and what will be in his future. However now, in this very moment, he couldn't foresee what the next day would bring.
He thought his life was in control and he would never let history repeat itself, but it did. Another person in his life, who he allowed to be closest to his heart, took him for granted. Buama, who was as precious for him as his mother, was planning to kill him. Buama brilliantly made him a fool and what did he do. Instead of listening to his wife who was continuously warning him for Buama wrong intentions, he called Gauri a fool who was actually turn out to be a well-wisher, like always and went to every length to reveal true intentions of Buama.
As promised, after making sure that his life was safe, Gauri decided to leave but how could he allow that now. He just couldn't saw her leaving, and after a very long, he let his heart ruled over him and let him took to her, to stop her leaving. His heart wanted Gauri to stay, but he highly doubts this coming true. Omkara sighed, running hands through his hairs and came out of his art room. He contemplated whether he should look for Gauri, but her request to leave her alone stopped him.
He lied on the recliner as the flashback of the eventful day ran through his eyes.
The revelation of Buama, Gauri almost losing her life for him, his realization of his unforgivable mistakes, and Gauri being adamant about leaving, everything completely drained him.
Out of all this, an unexpected desire raised in him. It's been a while he wanted to understand and know someone, not someone, his wife. And then he wanted to apologize and make up to her for his mistake. And that could only be possible only if she stays back. For that he used every weapon he thought could convince Gauri not to leave, even using the trump card of her God Shankar. Only one thing was left that was money, but he now knew that she wasn't greedy. Actually, she wasn't anything like the women he had relationships, she was indeed different and an enigma, an enigma he wants to solve. Unknown to Omkara, she was that puzzle piece which completes him.
The clock in his room rang loudly, indicating it was midnight. Looking at the time, he thought that the day was long but the night was actually longer. The wait for her decision was creating havoc on his restless heart and testing his patience which no one ever dared to do. But he couldn't do anything except waiting for the morning.
