Another day like any other. School, work, and then homework. Yeah, I know, a lot of work!
When I got home, I started heading of to the beach. I stood there, my toes digged into the nice, warm, lovely sand of the beach while the warm winds were flowing through my long black hair. I let out a sigh until my peace moment was ruined.
"Mitsuki! Mitsuki!" Cried my friend. "Yes, Ahi?" I said sternly. "I got you sushi! Your favorite!" I was still a bit mad at Ahi for interrupting my moment of peace, but yet still, sushi was my favorite!
"Yes! California rolls?"
"Yup!"
"That's great! C'mon, let's eat it together!"
We talked and talked, made jokes about each other, reminisce about the time we went to America and pretty muched wasted our saliva on talking.
Right after she left, I noticed something in the water
MERMAID!!!
(Oops sorry autocorrect)
It was a young woman that looked about my age. I wanted to approach her but I hesitated as usual.
I went back home to my bedroom. I decided to go out to the balcony and I saw her, again.
I noticed that she seemed to be cold. That was the part that got me.
I went and got a blanket with some of my leftover rice from yesterday. I rushed outside of the house to the beach (which was only 100' away from the beach) and said "Konichiwa" assuming that she only spoke Japanese. She looked at me in confusion. "Hello" She finally spoke up "Hi"
And That's how it all began, with a simple Hello
I carried her into my house keeping the blanket on for warmth. I was finally able to actually admire her. She had long brown hair which was soaked- proabally from the water. She had nice green eyes. She was wearing a short black and white dress which was ripped and soaked.
"Where are you from?" I asked because everyone who lives here should know Japanese by now. "France" she replied.
Me-"Where in France?"
The lady-"I don't really remember"
Me-"I forgot to ask you your name!"
Amélie-"It's Amélie, Amélie Chery"
Amélie... "I am Japanese!" I blurted like an idiot-I had to admit she was very... Well... Uh.... Pretty! She looked at me in confusion, the same look from last time
