young! Xehanort x reader

So it might seem (alot) kind of ooc but I headcanon him as kinda nervous when he is training with Eraqus but he gets more confident by the time he is looking for vessels so yeah that.

You had done it, you had officially captured his eye. He doesn't know how or why either. You were a normal girl living a normal life in a normal little world. He tried his damnedest to. To distance himself, to forget you, to just focus on catching up with Eraqus. But here he was sitting at a table in the local coffee shop with the first thing he saw on the menu in his hand waiting for you. After all this is where he first saw you and where he would continue to see you when he would come here on missions.

Taking a sip of his drink Xehanort continued to wait for you and over the span of about 30 minutes the bell rang every once in a while none of them being you. He was about to give up, it was after all about 15 minutes past your usual time, when the bell rang again. He peeked over his shoulder, like he had done every time the bell had done so, to find you, in a different outfit he had usually seen you in. You seemed more casual and not in a rush like you had before which rose a flag to him that today might have been a free day for you.

You ordered, smileing and paying as you waited for your order to come out. Xehanort took his chance,

though slightly nervous, he strode up to you a confident looking smile on his face. The smile however quickly washed away as you smiled softly at him. He sputtered for a second as you continued to smile at him.

"Hi," he waved almost dropping his drink.

"Hello is there anything you needed help with," you held back a laugh as his face heated up.

"I- I  was wondering if you would like to sit and have coffee with me," he said as confidently as he could.

"Sure why not," you laughed softly "I'm just waiting for my drink right now so I'll join you when it comes ok?" Xehanort smiled and nodded sitting back down at his table gathering his practically shattered confidence while he waited.

When you joined him the conversation you two held started out rough but both of you slowly eased into it and found a few things in common. You soon checked the time however cutting the pleasant chat short.

"I'm sorry but I promised my mom to help her out around her house. Maybe we could do this again hm... This Wednesday?" You smiled brightly at him and he nodded pink dust lightly spreading over his cheeks.

"Yeah Wednesday... I'll see you then,"

You and Xehanort continued these meet ups anytime you both were free. Well more like when YOU were. he really had as much free time as he wanted as long as he got whatever work and studying he needed to do got done, which, he was quite proficient at.

But that's beside the point Xehanort and you were sitting at the coffee shop again today. Both of you had gotten your usual drinks and a bagel, talking like you normally would when you brought up hanging out at your place.

"I have the rest of the day off so why not?" You shrugged taking the last bite of your bagel and moving one of the silver peices on the board. "It would be nice to get to know you outside of the coffee shop," Xehanort thought for a second before shaking his head and moving one of his peices removing one of your own, earning a grumble from you.

"Can't. not today at least. I have..."he laughed thinking for a second "A family reunion. Maybe tomorrow?" you paused looking at the chess board. If you had caught on to the lie you certainly didn't show it.
