DEATH'S MAIDEN

The Encounter

Once a beautiful maiden was playing with her dog in the forest..She was playing chase with her

Dog suddenly her dog stop running .

“what wrong Dony?” she ask her dog

“Woof woof” her dog bark at the darkness

She walk toward the darkness following her dog….once she  reach the end of the wood she find

Out she was at a beautiful meadow…filled with all kind of flower..

That is when she comes upon a dark horse and handsome stranger dressed in the riding clothes of a nobleman

Amazed with his handsome face..she keep on staring at him and finally awared of what she was doing

The maiden quickly turned away blushing.

“May I know who you are sir?”

“I’m Death”He answer darkly letting go off the reid and walkin toward her

“Why are you here?” she ask

“I’m here to take your soul”

“....” the maiden went silent and nod

When he reveals that he is Death, and that it is her soul he has come to take, she is naturally very alarmed

Death walk toward the maiden and touch her cheek with his hand

“What a beautiful soul your lucky  I won’t take it just yet”

The maiden was shock she expected Death will rip her soul out of her body but he give her a change?

“Why?..”

“Don’t you want to stay a little longer with your grandfather” Death ask

“I want to..but I never thought-“ she was silent by death

Death put a finger to her mouth making her shut up

“Death….”she whisper

As the story progresses, Death finds himself becoming enamoured with the young maiden

“He must do what he was sent for..”she murmured sadly looking out into the starry night

while she, accepting that he must do what he was sent for,

takes him back to the cottage she lives in with her grandfather

There she goes to bed for the night,

“Good night Death..” she smile

expecting Death to take her away in the night while she is asleep
