It was a lovely morning
Haechan, also known as Donghyuck, thought he'd be alone, again
No one ever came to his father's library
No one saw it
Because nowadays, books are a waist of time
Books are now, pure ancient art
No one wants them

However
on that lovely morning
Someone came
Someone beautiful

Therefore
When the bell on the door rang
Haechan's jaw dropped

Sure it was rare to see someone come in
But someone who looked like an ethereal being was even more rare

The man in question walked in silently
not minding the librarian who was watching his every move

Opposite to what most would think
Donghyuck did not feel any offense at the lack of attention as he was used to people not noticing him

There was indeed a time when he used to be popular
But things changed
And now
he's merely a shadow for most students

Except of course for one person
Renjun
His long time best friend

Snapping out of his thoughts
Haechan put his attention back on the man walking between the different shelves

When he stopped in the "romance" section
Haechan smiled

Romance books were his favourite

The stranger carefully looked at each book
Still not paying attention the the young librarian

When he was done though
The man walked up to
The front desk
Where Haechan was standing with a racing heart

Five words were spoken

"When does the library closes?"

Nothing special, right?
No confessions
No compliments

Well
for haechan
it was melody to his ears
It was enough for him to fall in love with his smooth and manly voice

So with a nervous heart he answered
"It closes around 5pm"

This earned a smile from the man and gosh haechan wanted to cry

How could a smile be so beautiful?
How could a human being be so beautiful?
How could he be real?

Flustered by all his thoughts, heaechan started to fiddle with the hem of his sleeves
Leaving the handsome stranger in an awkward silence

When Donghyuck started to think the other had left
The smooth voice rang in his ears once again

"Oh, you go to Gamshi Music School?"

The red haired boy frowned before asking
"How do you know"

The new customer chuckled and pointed towards haechan's uniform where the emblem of the school was attached

Donghyuck blushed at his own silliness

"Do you go there too?"
He asked, knowing fully that if it were the case, he already would have noticed him

"Well, I'm transferring there soon"
He smiled that infamous smile that made Haechan's heart melt

"That's awesome! I could show you around if you want!
Haechan said before he had the time to regret his words

"Yes, that would be nice."
Was the answer he unexpectedly received

Being the socially awkward person he was
Haechan had nothing else to say so he asked
"Will you take a book? "

"A book? Oh, yes."

His future schoolmate handed haechan the novel he was holding
it was Pride and Prejudice.

"Nice choice"
Haechan said while smiling

"Thanks, it might seem weird but I like romance books."
The rather tall man said with sparkles in his eyes and a bit of embarrassment

"Oh it's not weird! I like them too. A lot actually. I know we don't have much of them. I asked my dad for more but for personal reasons he refused."
Haechan quickly replied as he handed back the book to his fellow romance novels lover.

"Your dad owns the library?"

"Yes. So maybe if you come again some other time there will be more books for you to choose from."

"Roger that"
He replied while waving as he left The small library

Haechan smiled softly as the bell rang
But this time to signal he was gone
And he was left alone
