Dreaming Infinity
I was lost in the sea
and all I heard was silence.
I thought: what if I let go?
Among the waves,
I abandoned my mind
and held onto my spirit.
There was no wind,
and I felt as cold as death.
I was a castaway
with no voice to sing,
when a warm Sirocco
began to blow.
I opened my eyes
burnt by salt and wind:
above, in the pure dark sky,
the stars shone.
I drowned weeping,
but my heart was not sad:
I left this world
dreaming of infinity.
