In the beginning, there was nothing but the Giant and his beloved bird. Together they strolled on the empty space which would be the cosmos as it is known today, but back then it was just the wide plains where the Giant walked aimlessly.
He is a solitary entity, with the sole exception of his bird as the Giant’s only company. No one knew who or what created him, but he was there when life was not around.
It is said that the Giant’s bird is an intelligent animal, in deep contrast with the entity’s dim-witted nature. It longed for a beautiful place to rest on except the Giant’s shoulders, for it fear that flying downwards to the abyss would be dangerous enough and the wings it possess will not be strong enough to carry the bird upwards.
Hence the bird schemed and devised different plans to craft a world out of nothingness; but how?
The ancient era was deprived of material, with the Giant and the bird sojourning in indefinite void. Alas, the bird was not strong enough to make something out of nothing, but then it is an intelligent animal, and soon it discovered a way to complete its desire.
While the Giant was absent-mindedly strolling, the bird flew far away in a speed so fast it can’t be seen with a naked eye. The Giant wondered where his pet went, but from a very far distance, he saw the bird flying back to him on a blur. Its beak pierced the vacuum, striking the man straight on the forehead thus sending the Giant down on his knees.
Dizzy, the Giant fell facedown on the dark unconscious. From his powerful fall, trillions of dust floated upwards; small specks of multi-colored particles rose and moved like a whirlwind, and that was how the Universe came to be.
It is in a constant movement, in sync with the Giant’s drowsy grumbling and moving while asleep. Meanwhile, the bird relished its creation and transformed itself to rest in several worlds.
A time will come when the Giant will wake from its slumber and then the universe will face its ultimate end. Then the Giant will find its pet bird to discipline it thoroughly for striking his head for no apparent reason at all.
