I come from a place known as the Forgotten Land.

It used to have a different name.

Before...

It somewhat became like this.

One night,

Was all it took to change... everything.

Unavoidably;

My fate;

...As well as theirs.

I've come to learn on that fateful night.

What "to be ephemeral" means.

It means something that isn't meant for eternity.

Which means, basically everything.

What is eternity then?

I wonder...

How does it exist when no one, nothing, not even Gods can achieve it?

Is it like a dream that never comes true?

Is it like a promise that cannot be kept?

Is it present because there is always a night to a day?

Like there is life and there is death?

I wonder...

If the stars, memories of our ancestors, would be able to tell;

What it really means to become eternal.

Is it a blessing or is it a curse?

What is there to gain and what is there to lose?

Heavy is the crown for those who dare to take the throne.

Heavier it is for those who have no choice but to.

There are some stories.

Rumours about immortals.

It is said that there are seven of them.

Chosen by the Gods, if Gods do really exist.

Unless they are demons hidden behind masks of fake morality.

Seven beings that carry both virtues and sins.

Seven that are meant to save or destroy the world.

People call them the undead.

The ones unable to die.

And this is their tales.

The festival of the two moons was always a spectacular event both in terms of visual effects and festivities. It would always be celebrated at the time of the year when the two full moons would be aligned next to each other.

The village would have to prepare months in advance for the celebrations since there would always be tons of things to do. Men and women, elders and youngsters would actively participate in their given tasks and, although people were easily stressed by the load of work, all would be bearing a beaming smile on their faces.

The heart was into the festivities and the positive energy was contagious.

Some members of the tribe were in charge of organizing the events, others were into fabricating the ornaments and decorations that would be installed outside of the houses and all along the main streets. There would also be people in charge of preparing the food for the banquet. The tribe had dispatched small groups of people for hunting, fishing and collecting chunks of wood to provide the fire for the commune kitchen.
