--A Few Days Later--
Hina's POV
How much more of this can I take?
Every day got weirder and weirder. I mean, Rin's cool. So's Mr. Okumura and Miss Moriyama. And I guess Shima isn't terrible. But I didn't like it.
We were back in the class. I was sitting behind Rin and Mis- Shiemi. She wants me to call her Shiemi. Damnit, I have to stop screwing that up, too.
Anyway, Ms. Kirigakure is just talking about something random. Nothing I'll ever use. But I tried to pay attention.
The bell rang, and she stopped talking.
"Well, kids, ya better go. Eat Hsomethin', ya guys have training later." She told us, and we all stood up. I shouldered my holster and hurriedly walked to the door.
Once I was at the door, I pulled out the key to my dorm when someone grabbed my shoulder.
"Hina, you should come eat with us!" Rin said, and I could hear the grin in his voice. "I made another lunch, in case you want it."
"No, I'm fine." I replied, looking up at him. "I already have a lunch, anyway."
"You sure?"
"...Ya."
Before he could reply, I ran through the door and slammed it shut. Taking a deep breath, I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my crappy fruit lunch.
I left the dorm, and walked to the courtyard. There was a lot of people, but I noticed that there was a empty spot under a tree. Instantly, I ran towards it.
Sliding down onto the trunk of the tree, I opened my bento and began eating. The fruit's disgusting, but I can't cook.
Maybe I should have taken Rin's offer. His curry was pretty good.
I took another bite, watching everyone talk amongst themselves. Stupid people. With their stupid friends. And their stupid, stupid opinions.
You mental piece of shit!
Sighing, I looked down at my bento. I closed it. My hunger was gone.
I set the bento next to me and laid my holster on the grass. The arrows spilled out, their black ends hiding in the green. I grabbed one and held it. My arrows were simple; a light gray tip, a brown stick, and a black finned end. Simple, small, but sharp and deadly.
"Kayoko." Someone called out, and I looked at them. It was two of the boys from Cram school, but I couldn't remember their names.
"Hello. What takes you to this side of the courtyard?" I asked, leaning against the tree. I was still holding an arrow in my right hand.
