"Let's leave! We can take some cool pictures!" She stood up quickly. "I feel bad... he's been really excited for this!" I moaned a slumped down on my chair. Chelsea rolled her eyes. "Oh well! He'll soon get over it, you know how he is." She said while pulling my arm forcing me to get up. She climbed over the chairs bringing me along. After we got over all the chairs, she let go and started running. I decided to follow her. Worst mistake...
She took me to the farthest tree from the match. All those players were now merely specks of dust. Out of breath, we both sat ourselves down under the tree and leant on the trunk. We caught up on all the gossip since we hadn't seen each other for weeks. After we sat there quietly thinking of what to say. It was actually quite awkward but I would give anything to go back to that moment, however awkward.
The camera caught chelseas eyes. She had dropped it about ten feet away. She crawled towards it, reached out and grabbed it. She then crawled backwards again. "CHEESE!" she shouted pointing the camera at me. I struck a pose.
CLICK! BOOM!
It had an unimaginably bright flash. I was blinded for about five minutes. I sat down rubbing my eyes while I heard Chelsea fussing over the broken camera. "Hel-lo, blind friend here!" I said sarcastically. "Oh sorry!" I realised she was coming over using her knees because of the level in which I heard the sound from. We spent about 10 minutes trying to fix my eyes. And just as I was starting to gain sight, we heard a noise. It was a crackling sound. We soon found out that that noise was coming from the camera. A small black piecevof card had come out of the camera. Surprised, we both crawled towards it. She picked up the paper and gasped.
I snatched it from her and looked at it. I was all white. I had my hands in front of my face. My eyes were squinting. Because of the flash. But it wasn't the change in position that shocked me, it was the man standing behind me.
