"There he is." Mia said as we all started eating our lunch. Bailey Jones. The bad boy. The mystery boy. The boy every girl wants, well, except for me of course.
"I really don't get why you all go crazy, he's nothing special." I stated with a bored expression. This was obviously not what they wanted to hear because I felt a kick under the table. My head shot up and stared at my friend.
"What was that for?" I asked Lucy as I rubbed my leg.
"Don't speak bad about my future boyfriend." She smiled as she turned back to watch him walk to his table in the cafeteria. Mia stifled a laugh.
"You're pretty and all Lu but he'd never date you." Mia said, not taking her eyes off him. This did not go well with Lucy.
"What, and you think he'll like you? You're just a-"
"Okay, okay. Guys, he's just a boy. Get over yourselves." I interrupted before things got messy.Anyway, let me catch you up on a few things. I'm Jenna Lewis and I have long brown hair with blue eyes. Unfortunately, I'm very small, which means everyone overshadows me. I'm a junior, as well as all my friends. Now, Bailey is the hot senior. He's the definition of tall dark and handsome. He had floppy brown hair that looked effortlessly hot and sharp blue eyes that could speak a million words with just one look. He had tattoos covering his body and everyone, and I mean everyone, was scared of him. All the boys wanted to be him and all the girls wanted to be with him. Yes I admit, he's extremely attractive but he's a total douche. He just plays with girls emotions and does everything a typical bad boy would. If you can't find him, he's probably out in the fields smoking weed or something. Anyway, let's carry on.
"So, wanna have a bet to see who he'll take home first?" Mia started the conversation again. Everyone nodded apart from me who just sighed.
"I'm going." I got out of my seat and started walking out if the cafeteria.
"Wait Jenna!" I heard my name being called by Lucy. I turned around to see what she wanted when I was stopped by someone's chest. I took a few steps back and looked up to see who I bumped into; Bailey.
"Can you watch where you're going?" He hissed, glaring at me with his cold blue eyes. Now, I'm not an argumentative person but I sure know how to stand up for myself.
"Watch where you're going, you bumped into me." I replied, trying to hold the stare he was giving me. I walked off towards Lucy, feeling everyone's stares including his. As I got to our table, all of my friends were staring at me with their mouths open.
"What?" I snapped at Lucy, obviously agitated at her because she started this whole thing.
"Can you put my plate away please?" She gave me the innocent face as I stood there in disbelief.
"Unbelievable." I whispered, walking out of the canteen in a not so good mood.It was now finally the end of the day, which meant I was free. I only lived about 10 minutes away from school so I just walk. I put my EarPods in and started walking. This was until I got stopped by Bailey who was leaning against the wall of the school.
"No ones ever done that to me before." He stated, looking at me. I took out my earphones and stared at him. His merciless blue eyes scanning my small frame made me feel very self conscious but, I needed to stay strong.
"Ok." I answered in a bored tone.
"The way you talked to me. I didn't like it." He reached in his pocket and lit his cigarette. I crinkled my nose and looked in the other direction. I was about to start my walk home when Bailey stopped me by standing in my way. I had no chance of getting past as his 6'4 frame towered my tiny 5'2 body. He leant down and whispered in my ear.
"Don't do it again." With that, he walked off, leaving me confused but also amused. What I said must have really gotten to him.
